DDuring each shift at her drive-through window, once an hour, Cordelia Cordova sees people rolling joints in their cars. Some blow smoke in her face and smile.
Cordova, who lost a 23-year-old niece and her 1-month-old son to a driver who admitted he smoked pot that day, never smiles back. She thinks legal marijuana in Colorado, where she works, is making the problem of drugged driving worse — and now new research supports her claim.
"Nobody hides it anymore when driving," Cordova said. "They think it's a joke because it’s legal. Nobody will take this seriously until somebody loses another loved one."

I’ll point this out in non-weed states...that you could end up in a serious accident because the other driver is all doped-up on legal prescription drugs....like Oxie. Or you could have some idiot who is wrapping up a high with meth, and he interprets your wave of the hand as being non-friendly and pulls up to shoot you at the next stop-light.
It doesn’t matter what state you reside....you’ve got a threat going on twenty-four hours a day...three-hundred-and-sixty-five days a year.

This means that with enough cheap dope, we can rid the nation of these dopers.
Give them all the cheap and powerful drugs they can ingest. Heck, give them pure smack for free.
Get them to kill themselves off as rapidly as possible and clean out the gene pool.
Look, I’ve seen brainless blonde twits plow into another car and nearly take out a pedestrian due to texting on her stupid phone. There’s threats everywhere. Banning any of this stuff won’t remove the threat.
The solution is to reintroduce lethal consequences for stupidity into our world, and let evolution do its magic work. Stupid people should have the right and the ability to kill themselves with great ease and a low cost. The only tragedy is that they’re occasionally going to take someone who isn’t stupid with them. But right now, we have so many stupid people breeding like rabbits in this country that we’re being overrun with stupidity.
Time to reinstitute natural selection.

Here’s one you won’t like: there is no freedom without responsibility.
In other words, we, meaning the majority of folks, should not be required to look out for drunks and stoners killing us or our family members.
No I think personal responsibility is the key.
Making a person responsible for their own actions go’s a long ways to stopping bad behavior.
Instead of allowing them to blame it on some object or thing.

A separate study — also based on FARS data — found that in states where medical marijuana was approved, traffic fatalities decrease by as much as 11 percent during the first year after legalization. Written by researchers at the University of Colorado, Oregon and Montana State University, the paper was published in 2013 in the Journal of Law & Economics.
Those authors theorized pot, for some, becomes a substitute for alcohol. They cited a recent, 13-percent drop in drunk-driving deaths in states where medical marijuana is legal.
“Marijuana reform is associated with … a decrease in traffic fatalities, most likely due to its impact on alcohol consumption,” said Michael Elliott, executive director of the Marijuana Industry Group, a trade association in Colorado.

True. But does that really justify adding to it?
Tis true.
It should be as verboten to drive stoned as to drive drunk.
There are measures (how good they are may be under debate, but they at least exist) of what too drunk to drive is.
Are there similar measures of what too stoned to drive is?
Enough carnage and the auto insurers will begin to weigh in.
