I will no longer buy a gun manufactured in NY, MA, MD, or CT. Or CA (not that I know of any).
Fifteen years ago a vendor of mine from Long Island opened a small manufacturing facility just north of Orlando for one special product .
He ultimately moved his whole operation there and all but one woman employee picked up and moved as well. There were big time jokes about being Yankee Deserters and what to call themselves.
The whole stinking state is bad for business.
It's a wonder they stayed in NY as long as they did with the restrictive government and high taxes.
I know of two family businesses which are no longer due to NY politics, and it started long before Cuomo.
One business moved out of state to a friendlier state for business and mr. mm shut down his business when we got married and swore that he’d never open a business again in NY again.

According to an article by Yellow Hammer News, Remington Arms will be expanding their operations not in their home state of New York but in Alabama.
The announcement is expected to come tomorrow during a press conference with the Alabama governor.
How exactly the New York Remington plant will be affected is not yet known. According to Yellow Hammer News,
The company is making the move as an expansion of capacity, production and research, a source told Yellowhammer on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly. The demand for Remington products has skyrocketed recently, for obvious reasons, so they need to increase their production capacity. They will be expanding their research capabilities with the Alabama plant, too.
The initial estimated impact on Alabamas economy will be roughly $87 million.
Please note, this is just one report and we dont expect formal confirmation until Monday.
The news follows a similar move by Beretta who recently announced they would be expanding not in Maryland, but in Tennessee. Several other firearms manufacturers have made similar moves to leave or reduce operations in anti-gun states.
Magpul, the makers of arguably the most popular AR-15 magazine on the market fought hard against anti-gun legislation in Colorado and even threatened to leave and take their jobs with them if the bills were passed. The bills did pass and Magpul is currently in the process of moving the majority of its operations out of the state.
Upstate to Huntsville is not THAT much of a culture shock. Upstate can be very rural. Huntsville has more rockets and better weather.
If you want a militant union, I suppose you couldn’t do much better than UMW. Perhaps VW should talk to them rather than UAW. I’ll bet they could overcome opposition among the Chattanooga workers.
MA hasn’t changed their gun laws in years. No need to hate on S&W.
Unions. You can't fix stupid.
Having been born in the Bronx lived there for 10 years, then spent 11 years in NJ, then spent 11 years in Texas and then 25 years in Florida,
I have always said I became a human being after I moved away from the Northeast
I can tell you it would be a very boring show...
Pretty much it would go like this:
New Yorker (know it all): "In NY we did it this way"
Floridian: "STFU asshole and take the first bus back to your state if you don't like it"...
Been there done that ...many times ...
They know they are hemorrhaging and want the bleeding to stop. It actually shocked me for a moment. Never seen anything like it in years gone by.
It sounds to me like NYS is trying to stop the hemorrhaging by sticking a LARGER knife in the wound.
If the ruling elites in the aptly named Empire State don’t want conservatives, they shouldn’t be surprised when they leave and take their wallets and jobs with them.
“Cuomo needs a Biblical lesson on fornication also. He is living with a woman who is not his wife in the governors mansion.”
Not only that, but he is finding that he cannot sodomize private businesses with taxes and regulations - they will leave. They know exactly who’s hands will be on their shoulders if they stay in NY.
“Thats what happens when you vote for stupid Commies. Elections have consequences, after all.” Like my dad used to say “very seldom in life do poor choices net good consequences.” (Thanks dad R.I.P.)
Nobody must be allowed to escape socialism. It needs all the income it can get its blood-stained fingers on, consume and spread around and mis-allocate and mal-invest, until there is no more left for anyone.
I hear this argument all the time... To the people down South, New York is New York. I know there are conservative areas of New York State... Unfortunately, the only a$$holes that move down here are from the city and they bring their damn voting habits and politics with them...
The time for conservatives to unite is waning... I would suggest you get OUT of the NE while you can... If you are conservative come and join us...
Don’t confuse NYC with upstate NY it’s two different worlds upstate is mostly conservative, hard working, lower middle class, not effete elites from liberal la la land.
About the time I enlisted in the Air Force, 1956, a common refrain in the southern United States was the statement that the South would rise again. It seemed like a silly dream in those days, but it has gradually happened. More car manufacturing jobs, gun and ammo, high tech and medicine, etc have re-energized the south and it seems to be here to stay.
Let’s hear a little rebel yell.
