Starting tomorrow, Groupon ( www.groupon.com ) (NASDAQ: GRPN) will be kicking off Presidents Day weekend by giving customers 10 dollars off 40 dollars when they purchase a deal for any local business. The $10 bill, as everyone knows, features President Alexander Hamilton -- undeniably one of our greatest presidents and most widely recognized for establishing the countrys financial system.
Beginning Saturday, Feb. 15 at 9 am CST, shoppers will be able to redeem this offer by using the promo code 10OFF40LOCAL, which isnt very catchy, but neither was President Hamiltons famous saying, nobody expects to trust his body overmuch after the age of fifty. (continued)

His vice president was Davy Crockett (who was also "king of the wild frontier").
I always forget - was it before or after CC ll that Lafayette was pres...?
Lafayette was born in France. He could not become president until 2008 when the new precedent was set.
I would like a Boone/Crockett ticket.
I did too. But I have a vivid immagination.
Hamilton is the only guy (that I know of) on our money not born in the USA or American colonies that became the USA..he was born in the Caribbean on Nevis
“Cool, next we can get a discount for the president that discovered electricity with that kite!”
I can’t believe they’re not honoring President Gore for his invention of the Internet; after all, Groupon wouldn’t exist without the Internet.
If true, what does that make Salmon P. Chase?
An abolitionist senator from Ohio who served in Lincoln’s cabinet at Treasury, schemed against him and got kicked upstairs to Chief Justice?
Well...
Yes.
And just as presidential as President Hamilton.. ;-)
I thought Daniel Boone invested in international shipping. He had a harbor with docks named after him.
I think he was born on the island. ;)
Damn right!
That's why he's on the $100 bill.
Nope. It was Abraham Lincoln who was the first “black” president. That’s what a lot of his critics called him.
Wasn’t Eleanor Roosevelt the first woman president? She filled in for Franklin when he died until the next election.
I lerned that at schol, you no.
Crockett/Boone. Great Presidents, ‘cept Davy was kilt at the Alamo and Boone had to take his place. Awful tragedy. But Boone encouraged American hunting, even more than Crockett would’ve some sixty years later.
Presidents' Day, or any day, is not the time to mock the intelligence of the average American. It is an elitist endeavor. It's not the average Joe's fault that John Dewey's followers dumbed him down.
10 times better than Tom Jefferson... but he was only 1/5 the man that Steve Cleveland was.
