A quarter of Americans surveyed could not correctly answer that the Earth revolves around the sun and not the other way around, according to a report out Friday from the National Science Foundation.
The survey of 2,200 people in the United States was conducted by the NSF in 2012 and released on Friday at an annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science meeting in Chicago.
To the question "Does the Earth go around the Sun, or does the Sun go around the Earth," 26 percent of those surveyed answered incorrectly.

The theory does not have holes. The fossil record is like one big hole with a few tiny objects in it.
Here is where the BS comes in. Look at this graphic. The crossover from Homo Rhodesiensis to Homo Sapien, is it gradual? According to this graphical "gem" all of the Asian and European H. Rhodesiensis died leaving a small group in Africa which MAGICALLY morphed into Homo Sapiens. Do does this morphing happen so quick there is no cross over fossils, we just assume there is for the sake of the theory?

That is a fascinating graph. Look what a small percentage of Rhodesiensis it took to evolve into Homo sapiens, which then took over with all the others slowly dying out. Whatever it was—massive radiation bombardment or more probably a change in conditions that favored intelligence of some kind, probably technical intelligence—it was dramatic.
These changes start to build on one another at a certain point too. Once smarts comes into it, Katy bar the door.
Optimism, they say, is true moral courage, so I guess I should cultivate it.
And to hear the media tell it, 100% of them are tea partiers....
Here’s a little secret, those little neck down areas don’t exist. Just get rid of them and then the graphic makes sense. One species is created and dies out then another is created and so on. There are no connections, no half breeds nor hybrids.
Why did you post it then? Where is it from?
I posted from Wiki to illustrate the absurdity in the theory of Evolution. To think those “necked” down areas exist requires that evolutionary doctrine is a belief system or religion and not a scientific theory.
I would like to know their politics...

So -- what happened to all the other 100 billion stars in our galaxy (with proper motions independent of ours) -- not to mention all the other galaxies in His created universe?
It's God's universe. He -- and only He -- can change the "rules or laws" by which it operates. (When He does so, we call it a "miracle"...)
HE changed mankind's temporal reference frame for a day.
He once did the same for me for about a picosecond of His time. Seemed like hours for me and changed my entire life's direction. In fact, that is why I'm a physical chemist. (Long, true story...)
BTW, did Joshua and/or Jashar even know what a "galaxy" was? If so, how many could he/they see? Also -- did mankind's language even have a word for "galaxy"?
All interesting but irrelevant to the fact that in Joshua the Bible says the Sun move around the Earth. If we are to accept the Bible as the literal truth, as young Earth creationists would have us do, then the literal fact is that astronomy is wrong and it is the Sun that is moving and not the Earth. So it’s not hard to believe that a good percentage of the people the story speaks of would be of the YEC variety.
That is almost certainly the case. However, I believe Scripture is literally true when viewed from the reference frame of the folks who recorded it. (Hence the "galaxies" questions.)
Even if the universe were revealed to them as a vision, they had no way of comprehending or recording what they were shown.
