Thats SIX YEARS of someone in the Senate who will vote for gay marriage, abortion, Obamacare, more debt, more spending, the gutting of defense, amnesty, etc.
These votes are one out of a hundred. Individual votes are unlikely to make a difference (very few votes boil down to a single vote margin). But for those votes, you are also getting six years without having a party capable of meaningful opposition to gay marriage, abortion, Obamacare, more debt, more spending, the gutting of defense, amnesty. I would gladly absorb the loss of a single vote in the Senate, in exchange for at least the possibility of something other than the half-hearted opposition we have enjoyed for decades.
These seats are fool's gold: held by someone who has an "R" next to their name, who also holds conservatism in contempt. When push comes to shove, and they are called on to act, rather than speak, they can be counted to do what they always do: oppose conservatism with a passion and dedication that rivals and possibly exceeds that of Democrats.

Sometimes single votes are important, i.e., ObamaCare.
Vote the most conservative and likely candidate.
