The only way to stop President Barack Obama from nullifying duly enacted laws is impeachment, says Judge Andrew Napolitano. The problem is, neither Congress nor the American public have the guts for it.
"The president is doing the opposite of what he was elected to do," Napolitano said Thursday on Fox News Channel's "Your World with Neil Cavuto." Napolitano is a former New Jersey Superior Court judge and a Fox News legal analyst.
When Obama picks and chooses which laws, or portions of them, to enforce, he actually is telling people how to avoid obeying the law, he told Cavuto.

Its amazing that Obama hasn’t pushed his power grab further than he has. Not suggesting that he’s acting in a restrained way, which of course he’s not, but there’s a lot of lattitude for him to be even more agressive.
Nobody seems willing to stand up and check his wanton exercise of power. Its an invitation to more executive abuse and an expansion of authoritarian rule.
Another possible path, and the most likely one IMO, is the onset of an economic calamity. Events like that have a way or re-orienting people’s views and priorities. Its a very painful path but maybe a necessary one in the long run.
Yeah, when that happens, the fedgov just simply won’t have the resources available to “put down” those who ignore/oppose their edicts.
I was thinking the same thing.
More efficient, and permanent, than impeachment.
A solution that should be implemented for the entire political class in the District of Criminals.
I can and do fully support that.
Have you contacted your State Reps to encourage them to sign on?
You may need to do so several times.
Congress is violating their oath to the Constitution by not impeaching.
Given that the judge said that the American people don't want impeachment its not much of a shaming.
No, they wont impeach him.
Yes, having his butt-fugly wife telling him to stop will most likely work, , , /sarc
If everybody disobeyed his orders they would be obeying the law because his orders are lawless. It's very confusing.
Cordially,
At least the word is being bandied about.

GWB was first busy getting re-elected (his one big success) and then afterward dealing with huge crisis's partially or fully of his making, regardless he got all the blame for them, as Obama should be now.
By 2006 or 2007 most Americans had tuned him out.
Given his weak hand he worked with Dems to get stuff he really wanted done. In his second term each year was worse than the last.
Pelosi's #1 mission then was to win the 2008 election and she didn't let her progressive members get in the way of that.
Nonsense. The only reason such a statement is even marginally convincing is because there are so many people who throw up their hands and say "impeachment is a fantasy" because they fear the political cost, or because it requires too much perseverance.
By any reasonable standard, 0bama should be impeached, but if he isn't, maybe the People will just have to settle for total Republican control of both Houses of the Federal Legislature.
Not that he shouldn’t be impeached, convicted and removed, but that only puts the image of Biden in my head:
“I have can of Progresso and a crayon...”
Gotta get a new keyboard. It seems to be dropping letters more and more frequently, such as in the case of “... have [a] can...”
