[history]
WASHINGTON (AP) Texas Sen. Ted Cruz sat with eyes glued to his mobile device as the chaos he provoked ensnared his Republican leaders on the Senate floor.
Legislation to raise the nation’s borrowing authority with no strings attached was short of the 60 votes it needed to advance a threshold Cruz demanded and without a few conversions, Republicans would be blamed for its failure. The stock market was watching.

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldnt make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan |

It’s not just McConnell, either. There are several others that need to be dealt with. Lindsey Graham and John Wayne McCornyn to name a couple of the most obvious.

Once again Ted Cruz has done the Lord’s Work in exposing the RINOs of the Republic. Now it is up to the People to see what they have elected to serve them.

You can bet the lapdog traitors are pizzed at Cruz, and looking for a way to make him pay. We need to keep that in mind when phoney scandals start breaking.

If we spent half the energy and emotion on defeating Democrats that we spend on punishing less than pure Republicans we wouldn’t have the current abominations in the White House and Senate.
Reagan also said, The person who agrees with you 80 percent of the time is a friend and an ally not a 20 percent traitor.

Its not just McConnell, either. There are several others that need to be dealt with. Lindsey Graham and John Wayne McCornyn to name a couple of the most obvious. Cornyn took a big hit Yesterday. I suspect so did Little Bitchy McConnell. They just don't know it. Go take a peek at Cornyn's Facebook Page. The comments are priceless!
To: mrsmel
They should rename John Cornyn to.
John Kerry Cornyn.
He was for it before he was against it...
To: SoConPubbie
Yes it is. And I am very much savoring this experience. :)

...Republicans would be blamed for its failure. "blamed"?
No, there's no spin at the alphabet networks.....

You’re quotes are great and your point is good.
Except, I’m not sure the issue is one of agreeing.
There seems to always be 99% agreement.

Reagan also said, The person who agrees with you 80 percent of the time is a friend and an ally not a 20 percent traitor.
That is only half the story where Reagan is concerned, and I think you know it.
Reagan was adamantly opposed, and publically stated it, to moderates being in charge of the leadership of the GOP.
Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pastels, but bold colors, which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people? - Ronald Reagan Speech to CPAC, March 1, 1975

They know it. And they will slash/burn/salt the earth on the way out just to have their revenge.
Of course some will say we need to reelect them “No matter what”.

Is that what you call statist Republicans, "less than pure"? Republicans who would slit your throat and kill this nation just so they can get a chance to hold the reins of a powerful centralized Federal government? Republicans who have thoroughly trampled every one of Reagan's principles and sold their souls to the powers in Washington DC? These are "less than pure"? These statists do NOT want to return us to a constitutional government.
Sure, keep on voting for these Repubicans and enjoy your incremental slide into America's death. "Less than pure" - I could throw up.
