Look, technically it won’t be a lie. The HR departments of most companies are staffed with people that have been told forever, to fire people and find reasons to justify the firings. They can find any instance or instances of violations of the business’ employee handbook and you’re gone. It will not be a lie at all, they will find violations, they will find performance issues, and they will be documented.
I recall a guy talkign about how he worked in the warehouse of a company for 20+ years and was let go because a security cam had showed him with three other guys chatting before work, punching in, and one guy punched in all four guys (against the rules but never before an issue), even though they all were there. They were looking for a reason to justify firing them because they were higher paid, and wanted to get new people in to pay them lower wages. They had been doing this the last two years to other workers there. These guys knew it and saw it happen.
