President Barack Obama (pictured) has been aggressively pushing an agenda that strengthens the core of the nation via education, job creation, and supporting middle class families. Now the administration will turn its aim to improve the lives of young men of color via an initiative titled “My Brother’s Keeper.”
Although the President has shied away from race matters in the past, there has been an undeniable shift in focus from the White House regarding the plight of young people of color who have been disproportionately slammed by poverty, lack of opportunity, and unfair prison sentences.
According to a Washington Post report, the President will officially announce the launch of this new plan this Thursday, and it comes at a critical point in his second term. President Obama has endured heavy criticism from Black leaders and other minority groups for not tailoring his policies toward their needs.

“My Brother’s Keeper?” Really now? Doesn’t this guy”s real-life half brother live in a hut in Nairobi on less tha $100 per year?
True brotherhood would be all of us helping one another, not just black youth helping only black youth.
It’s always about the words and the slogan with this guy. Never the action.
I suppose this theme “my brother’s keeper” instead of, say, one to promote families made up of married, heterosexual spouses, allows him to continue to promote gay rights’ agendas.
Shied away?! That is all that guy’s about.
And only SIX YEARS after he was elected too!
Isn’t it racist to have a program for young men of color?
Liberals sometimes tell us it’s racist to talk about black gang members and such, as they tell us that there are white boys who get in trouble with the law.
So let’s hold the liberals to their criteria, and talk about programs for all troubled boys and young men, not just “young men of color”.

Well, maybe the program is to keep blacks from killing blacks. But the looney left is going to turn on him big time if they think he's gone even a little biblical on them.

Obama has said that he was attracted to Christianity by tenets such as our being our brother’s keeper and our sister’s keeper.
For Obama to completely misinterpret and mangle a Bible story shows how little he really understands Christianity. Yet he cites this as his reason for being a Christian.
Empowering his own kind with favoritism. I hought that went against the whole “We are the World” mantra pogressivism shoves down our throats... Unless he’s king and it’s “I do whatever I want” decree...
