Feinstein, Boxer and Obama all endorsed Alvarez. lol!
Sounds like a prize. How long until scandal comes his way?
Probably the best of all outcomes. Filner beats the RINO homosexual and gets run out and replaced by a more sane Republican.
Great news!
San Diego is a wonderful place. If any of you haven’t been there, if you ever get a chance, don’t pass it up.
An omen of things to come? Could this be the reason why (cackle)?
As far back as 2008, at the presidential debate in Nashville, Democrat candidate Obama advanced his signature healthcare plan---ultimately enacted, by an historic straight Democrat party-line vote, into the "Affordable Care Act"
QUOTING 2008 OBAMA: "No. 1, let me just repeat, if youve got a health care plan that you like, you can keep it. All Im going to do is help you to lower the premiums on it. Youll still have choice of doctor.
Repeated over and over again---- with his promise that every American family would be saving $2500.00 on healthcare costs.
Significantly, Obamba NEVER corrected lock-stepping Democrats, all reading from the same Democrat talking points, all of them repeating the same Democrat promises---over and over again.
LOCK-STEPPING PARTY LOYALTY NOT SEEN SINCE 1930-40's ERA EUROPE Obama And the Dems marched in lockstep.....the persistent Dumbocrat drumbeat ---- in obeisance to Obama ---- kept ringing reassuringly in our ears: "If you like your plan, you can keep your plan."
SEN. BARBARA BOXER (D-CALIF): So we Democrats want people to be able to keep the health care they have. And the answer to that is choice of plans. And in the state exchange, were going to have lots of different plans, and people will be able to keep the health care coverage they need and they want. (Sen. Boxer, Press Release, 2/8/11)
SEN DIANNE FEINSTEIN (D-CALI): I listened to the president and I believed him when he said, 'if you like your plan, you can keep your plan.' I believed he was correct. I didn't realize there were all these codicils attached to it. President Obama should never have promised that people would be able to keep their health plans. I think he was done a disservice. Someone should have stopped him and said on his staff. There's this condition and that condition."
Then-Majority leader Pelosi (D-CALIF): "We must pass the O-care bill so we can find out whats in it." Tick, tock, tick tock,......we must now wait 1-2 decades for its "goodness" to rollout.
Finally we win an election. For awhile there we were losing practically every one. So glad that the good team won for a change.
Good News! And Obama endorsed.
One wonders why there wasn’t the usual Progressive whining about disenfranchisement, irregularities, recounts, and heartless conservatives.
Just asking.
IMHO
I have not been following this race. Did Faulconer suck up to the Hispanic vote like the GOP Establishment insists is the only way to win in the newer browner America?
Good News and A Great Cup of Coffee Go Great Together; First Thing of A Morning!
Wow! He won by a nice margin also. I’d heard sometime back that San Diego was one of the few Republican bastions in the land of fruits and nuts. I think next season, I’m gonna root for the Chargers; unless they’re playing the Houston Texans or my KC Chiefs.
How many recounts?
Please ping me with any Southern California related articles. Thank you!
If you want on or off this ping list, please FReepmail me.
Hopefully this will be a portent of things to come for November!
As a San Diego City resident I have strongly supported Faulconer as well as Demaio before him. It’s interesting that 3 weeks ago polls showed Faulconer 16 pts ahead of Alvarez.
The SD Union-Tribune strongly endorsed Faulconer as did former Republican Mayor Sanders...then the union money came pouring in!
80% of Alvarez’s money was union contributions! There were even rallies for him in Tijuana! Constant negative TV ads and within the last week the media proclaimed that Alvarez was within 1 pt of Faulconer (46/45 as I recall) and that Alvarez had the big Momentum.
I thought here we go again - It was not until the election results started rolling in Tuesday night that I began to relax as it became obvious that the point spread was not close at all.
Perhaps people finally are waking up to corrosive and corrupting effect of the Union-Democrat Politician complex. Well, at least while the memories of the effects of union money putting filthy Filner in office are fresh in their minds.
A guy was whining about this earlier today in Starbucks NYC. They should be afraid. And they are.
