AT HOME IN ALASKA WITH SARAH PALIN ON HER 50TH BIRTHDAY
She says there’s still so much “I want to do – I need to do.”

New York, NY — February 11, 2014 — Inside Edition’s Jim Moret visits with Governor Sarah Palin at her home in Wasila, Alaska as she celebrates her 50th birthday.
Palin tells Inside Edition how she feels about turning 50.
PALIN: “Uh oh, it’s going to start sinking in here pretty soon that it’s real…Look at all I want to do – that I need to do.”
MORET: “Like what?”;
PALIN: "It mostly revolves around family. Making sure everybody is happy and healthy and relatively well adjusted, successful, hardworking. I want to make sure that my kids and grandkids follow suit. There's still so much to do for the country."
When Inside Edition asks Palin if she would run for President if she were asked to, she responds:
PALIN: “If enough people have that faith in you that you’re willing and able to put your country on the right path, I think that person should absolutely consider it and make sure it’s good with family.”;
However, Palin’s daughter Piper doesn’t appear to share her mother’s sentiments.
MORET: “Piper, what do you think of your mom as President?” [Piper nods no.]
Palin also tells Inside Edition that she doesn’t buy Govenor Chris Christie’s claims that he wasn’t aware that his top aides shut down the George Washington Bridge.
PALIN: “When I was Mayor and manager of this city, and then Governor of the state, certainly you know what your top aides are up to.”

The interviewer thought the Palins would be in LA by now instead of Alaska. They don’t get the Palins nor average Americans. We love our lives right where we are. Family and friends are our anchors. LA offers nothing.

I think they’ve worked hard at it to make it that way. ..and they likely all agreed to do so...I think in some families not all are on the same page so it creates issues etc.
But in a strong family it takes ‘work’ and ‘investing time’ to ‘overcome’ issues...not all will do so and when that happens the family unit breaks down.
I can’t help but think when Sarah said she wanted to be with her family....again. I think they all sacrificed one another while she was out there campaigning etc. But when your family has life threatening situations you have to make a decision what is the priority.
I respect her greatly for what she is doing now...she has control of when she speaks and when she’s out there...thus leaving her the time she wants with family and any other thing she chooses to do.
Sarah has the best of all worlds how she is doing things now and I think she loves it so!
No doubt she’ll be out and about doing the “Sarah Circuit” as representatives step up to the plate and covet her endorsements. But she can pick and choose as she wills...and that is paramount to her.
We are so fortunate to have her in our court!
