Imagine for a second the howling which would ensue if the sexes were reversed.

So I reckon she figures she’s too good to make me a sandwich?

I’ve heard the bonus comes from work with some of the directors on the table in the board room

I’ve had my last GM for a while. The last 3 vehicles I’ve had all seem to suffer from chronic issues. Not a lot of issues but the same ones over and over again. I currently have an Aveo and it’s been reliable but is just put together cheap. I know it is a low end low expense car but still. Thinking of trying Ford or Nissan next. I hear good things about both.

They were howling about this on Facebook over the weekend because not all of Barra’s compensation had been board-approved and at that point it looked as if she were going to be making a lot less than her predecessor.
But the “reporting” in Yahoo.com was slanted to make the easy gender pay inequity argument. It wasn’t until you got to the end of the article that you got the little nugget about the remainder of her compensation requiring “board approval”.
Frankly, I’m surprised the the Obama Administration is permitting this... weren’t they the one’s who were all up-in-arms about executive pay? They have leverage with GM and here Bara is going to be hauling down Peyton Manning like numbers?

she's obviously not an AFL-CIO union member but I wonder how much of her salary the mob (Trumka and obozo) will realize?

My bet is that they will be back in bankruptcy within 5 years. She had best run to the bank with those checks and cash in the stock as soon as possible.

So much for that "glass ceiling" or the notion that women earn less than 70% of what women do in comparable professions / positions.
Of course, GM (Government Motors) will probably spin that in the direction of the preferred, demanded and executed fascism that we have going on in this country.
