I am afraid you are correct. Just no common sense in that verdict.
No good deed goes unpunished, obviously. Criminals are a protected class.
Any pictures of the drug dealer and the individual hitting him?
The U.K. is dead. It has utterly turned its back on its own heritage and abandoned its self-respect. What for centuries had been a bastion of civilization, has turned into an embarrassment before God.
And that same beast of self-destruction now has turned its efforts towards America.
This is alarming.
Mr. Neale, the defendant, is white. The article does not mention the name or race of the drug dealer, to protect his right to privacy I suppose.
I gather there is no “Good Samaritan” law in Merry Olde England?

There was the strength, ability, and willingness to stand up to and defeat the Nazis, but not the ability to withstand their own internal enemies.
Wonder if we have that ability.
Luckily he didn't have a stick or other "weapon" in his hand. He'd probably be looking at a life sentence.
In England, is there anybody who could give him a pardon, like governors and presidents can do here? This is one of those times when it would be a good idea to use that.

The judge totally ignored the fact that the drug pusher 'victim' was beating a woman and instead, lectured the young man (Carl Neale) who tried to stop him with his fists - not a weapon - and succeeded. Yes, the injuries to the pusher-assailant were horrific but that doesn't make Neale deserving of a six-year prison sentence. At the least, it should have been suspended.
Frankly, the prosecution was way too zealous in this case. If this is what is in store for the U.S., I don't want to live here. This is why the left must be opposed and defeated before we get so far afield that we can't come back to sanity. The U.K. is already hopeless.
I dont think this is being reported completely.
The guy has other charges in this sentence, including attempted burglary, apparently car theft, and resisting arrest.
It may be the other charges are made up, etc. But still it needs more detail.

And, as bizarre as England has become, he probably would have been charged had he kept letting the dude whup up on the lady.
Of course, we are not all that far behind......
Surprised the courts didn’t make the ‘rescuer’s’ family take care of the attacker.....
