This map from the Regional Plan Association, an urban research institute in New York, shows how the country is really organized and it's not primarily around individual cities.
Instead, their America 2050 project proposes that we begin to view the country's urban areas not as discrete metropolitan areas but as interconnected "megaregions." Megaregions are areas where large cities and the spaces in between share "interlocking economic systems, shared natural resources and ecosystems, and common transportation systems."

The circles indicate nuclear target centers with recommended megatons.
What city slicker needs a phallic symbol bullet train to validate themselves when a self-driving car with electro-glide suspension will let them sleep in?
Well y’all can come on down to the Texas Triangle, we’ll have all the guns.
the slick willy kind that can rest assured that i am getting screwed and my tax dollars are going to waste
“Well yall can come on down to the Texas Triangle, well have all the guns.”
I’ll bring mine with me.
The more the better. ;)

They are tied in with a group called “no labels” which is a mixture of people but heavy with Clinton ties.

Although they try to cloak it they are pushing toward a parliamentary role for Congress and a more autocratic Executive, in the name of “bi-partisanship” and “getting things done” of course.
Yep. That’s why we have to keep an eye on them. Of course, this ‘regionalism’ business is a way to undercut elected officials. I wonder if most of them know that.
All over the country there are 30 year and 50 year plans being pushed, by “regional planning organizations” - all unelected.
They feel it's time. With amnesty, foodstamps, and obamaphones it's safe now. No conservative will ever be elected chief executive again.
I’ve tried to get some attention on the no labels group. They’re bad news.
This is the first I’ve heard of them.
It's a surprisingly simular (not exact) map of the natural gas fields being worked today ... I'll try and find the link and post THAT
Flyover country is where their food, electricity, water, fuel, building materials, toilet paper and raw materials come from. If fought in January, the war will be short. Trust me, they know that.
Take a look at some of their plans to make congress work.
Empower the “Sensible Majority”.
No Negative Campaigns Against Incumbents (Apparently outsiders are fair game)
Bipartisan Leadership Committee
interesting idea
I have an idea.
Take the areas that are heavily populated by the self-described “intellectual elites” and remove all of the real Patriotic Americans, Conservatives, LEOs, First Responders Military-types from their (Boston, New York City, San Francisco, etc) areas and see how long they last.
Conversely, remove all of the “intellectual elites” from those areas that are similarly populated (Houston, Dallas, Birmingham, Wyoming, etc), and see how they fare.
I know which way I am willing to bet.
“this map shows where the majority of the “stuff for free” people are located
bombing will commence in five minutes”
Hey! Don’t be a tease!
That’s not nice!
Please change the names of “Northeast”, “Northern California” and “Cascadia” to Firing Range “A”, “B” and “C”?
Looks to me like it is.
The country is divided as it has always been. Normal Americans vs city whack-jobs.
