Some countries are actually paying their athletes for winning Gold medals. Those countries must be filled with losers. Some countries -- like the United States -- don't have to pay their athletes for winning medals ... but their athletes are among the leaders in the medals standings anyway. LOL.

LOL.The amounts quoted above are the cash prizes given by the US Olympic Committee. The taxes are not on the medals themselves (though selling them will incur taxes.) So...I guess by that standard, we are losers too.
