Justice Department to give married same-sex couples equal protection
The Washington Post ^ | Saturday, February 8, | By Sari Horwitz

The Justice Department on Monday will instruct all of its employees across the country, for the first time, to give lawful same-sex marriages sweeping equal protection under the law in every program it administers, from courthouse proceedings to prison visits to the compensation of surviving spouses of public safety officers.

In a new policy memo, the department will spell out the rights of same-sex couples, including the right to decline to give testimony that might incriminate their spouses, even if their marriages are not recognized in the state where the couple lives.

...

“This means that, in every courthouse, in every proceeding, and in every place where a member of the Department of Justice stands on behalf of the United States — they will strive to ensure that same-sex marriages receive the same privileges, protections, and rights as opposite-sex marriages under federal law,” Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. is expected to say in a speech Saturday night at the Human Rights Campaign’s Greater New York Gala at the Waldorf Astoria in New York, where he will announce the new policy.

It is important at this point to lose this battle and go for winning the war

The fact that homosexual same sex marriage violates OUR rights means nothing to you. The fact that homosexuals have a much higher rate of child molestation means nothing to you.

It is obvious you are supporting and thus promoting the “gay” agenda and doing so in a nice “Moderate” tone so as to fool people.

2. A very small child should be allowed to play with the toys he or she wants to.

That’s not the way you’ve presented this view of yours in the past. Your view is that some children, although in a female or male body, are actually the opposite “gender” inside. That is entirely different than a boy who likes sewing and a girl who likes baseball, as we have discussed many times. You are on board with the homo agenda:

1. Kids are born gay or the “transgender” and that’s all there is to it, they cannot “change”.

2. Homo marriage here - “We here, we’re queer, get used to it” some fits in with that attitude. You critcize poeple who are opposed to the destruction of moral absolutes and accepting of “gay marriage”.

Your argument that people think differently about perversion now than in 1960 is specious in the extreme. VEry few states have had the populace vote for it, for one thing. And due to the loudness of the 2$ who are actually homosexuals, and their rabid leftist supporters, no one is allowed to tell the truth about the “gay” life or the homo agenda in school, in the military, in newspapesr, in the professions, etc.

Let people hear the truth and the winds will change radically.

Rand Paul's immigration speech
...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.

Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.

Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.

Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.

If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...

This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.

Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.

Rand Paul calls on conservatives to embrace immigration reform
Latinos, should be a natural constituency for the party, Paul argued, but "Republicans have pushed them away with harsh rhetoric over immigration." ...he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how many visas should be granted for workers already in the United States and those who might follow... [and the buried lead] "Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers...

The only thing worse than an out and out rabid leftistpuke, is a dissembler who hides his real views just to get elected.

It’s best to describe your own opinions instead of telling other freepers they are lying about theirs.

Yes, children are who they are when they emerge - from the womb, from infancy. Each one is different, attracted to different things, different ways of interacting. There is no need to force children to match external choices of what is correct according to gender.

I do not pretend to understand anything about transgender. But I know children, and there are kids who innocently like to be or play with the typical choices of the other gender. Sometimes these kids will be gay when their sexuality develops and sometimes not. I believe passionately in loving and letting the little one do as he or she wishes in play.

I’d like to see each state vote on homosexual marriage. I agree that many states would vote it down. My state CA would probably pass it though - this time. But the hearts and minds have insidiously been won. I am very glad to see the progress of America’s thought on abortion these days. But in the same vein the average American has also been shown the beating hearts of people who claim to want to marry someone of their same gender, and I do believe it is the kindness of those people trying to make others happy. Leasing with their emotions, throwing thousands of years of tradition to the wind. Hearts over logic.

I truly don’t think the hearts and minds can be turned around at this point. Maybe I am wrong.

Where did you ever get this bull? You just accuse and make stuff up.

I don’t think there is a right to live in a world where no one else has a homosexual marriage. Our rights are not violated until we are forced to serve them wedding cakes or marry them in our churches etc. then you have a point.

If it is true that there are more child molesters who are homosexual than hetero, that is horrible. But why would you say that it means nothing to me. It’s just a silly emotional thing to accuse me of. I rail against molestation consistently on FR, from any gender perv to any gender child.

This toothpaste is not going back in the tube.

Going with your line of thinking along those lines...

Bottom line is if we take your position on so fundamental as the sodomite perversion of matrimony, if we're going to be consistent, then may as well shut down Free Republic, shut down the tea party movement, and all become socialist, pro-sodomite, atheist drones. After all, This toothpaste is not going back in the tube.

I can't speak for you, but, for myself, I'll keep fighting until the Lord calls me home. No surrender, no quarter, no retreat.

In the words of the late, great Leo XIII:

To recoil before an enemy, or to keep silence when from all sides such clamors are raised against truth, is the part of a man either devoid of character or who entertains doubt as to the truth of what he professes to believe. In both cases such mode of behaving is base and is insulting to God, and both are incompatible with the salvation of mankind. This kind of conduct is profitable only to the enemies of the faith, for nothing emboldens the wicked so greatly as the lack of courage on the part of the good. Moreover, want of vigor on the part of Christians is so much the more blameworthy, as not seldom little would be needed on their part to bring to naught false charges and refute erroneous opinions, and by always exerting themselves more strenuously they might reckon upon being successful. After all, no one can be prevented from putting forth that strength of soul which is the characteristic of true Christians, and very frequently by such display of courage our enemies lose heart and their designs are thwarted. Christians are, moreover, born for combat, whereof the greater the vehemence, the more assured, God aiding, the triumph: "Have confidence; I have overcome the world."

- Encyclical Sapientiae Christianae (On Christians as Citizens), 1890

I don’t think people are giving up...however, Obama did win the election...twice no less...and he is on the move til he’s out with few if any doing more than talking. That IS the reality.

Now if you know something we don’t, please do share!

I think acceptance of homosexuality is either evidence of the weakness of a country or is that which makes a country weak.

The toothpaste has gone back in historically; Rome and Ancient Greek societies once accepted homosexuality in the mainstream. It might be a painful way that homosexuality gets put back in the closet, but history suggests that it is inevitable.

And even in Rome and Greece not everyone thought homosexuality fine and dandy. It will be put back in the closet because homosexual behavior is an emotional, physical and spiritual sickness. Those with that sickness also have an unquenchable desire to dominate and control everyone else, as is obvious from the news of the last 2 decades.

And yet you think homosexuals marrying is fine. You are trying to straddle a fence on both sides and it does not work.

And not I would add that Christians and religious Jews and Hindus should realize our common moral foundation and stand together against the darkness of gross immorality and all the evils you listed!
