I got sick of 'All Broncos, All The Time' from the Denver stations, so I've been watching the news from Casper and Cheyenne.
Saw an interview with Dr. Haynes yesterday on Channel 5, and liked what I heard.
I like what I've seen and read.
“...Haynes won’t call himself a member of the tea party, but says he shares many of the same values they do...”
Okay, but I would feel a little better if he out and out called himself a TEA Party guy.
Wyoming is one of the most conservative states and we need somebody hardcore leading it.
...Haynes wont call himself a member of the tea party, but says he shares many of the same values they do...
The end result of overpaid political consultants. Cuccinelli did the same damn thing in VA, and he lost.
Congressman Steve Daines of Montana, who is running for Senate in the fall, is doing the same things.
He's conservative enough but when asked about the Tea Party he gives the hammina hammina I'm for the people of Montana blah blah.
Those guys never seem to learn that you don't win playing defense. If nothing else they could simply say that Tea Party stands for Taxed Enough Already and, yes, I'm with them all the way on that.
He did say he was a TEA Party kind of guy. What he also said was that he was “not a TEA Party member because the TEA Party has no members.” The interview is only 3 minutes long. It’s worth listening to.
As I'm on the lookout for weasel-words, as well as people grabbing the mantle of "tea party favorite," when they have few convictions and hope to slide into office on the dislike of political parties whose role seems to be similar, control of millions of tax dollars for their own piggy bank projects, I don't have a problem stating one is merely in fundamental agreement with TEA party principles but not a "member" of a specific group that May or may not exist in their area.
Bump, for any more comments.
