Alex Rodriguez has dropped his lawsuit against Major League Baseball and the players' association, according to court records, and MLB announced the Yankees third baseman intends to accept his season-long suspension.

A-Rod is an A-......
MLB baseball has the goods on him...and more than what has been released to media. Bosco didn’t say everything he knew in 60 Minutes interview
Bosco....should be Bosch
I wouldn’t have his lawyer Joe Tacopina represent me for a speeding ticket.
‘Bosco’
That makes a good ATM password...
Wise move to drop the lawsuit, because the Major League Baseball Agreement, which he signed, says that disciplinary actions are in the sole discretion of the Commissioner and cannot be reviewed in court, and the courts have long upheld the validity of that clause.
First rule of holes, learned (belatedly).
Wimp.
The Yankees made sure he will never be bankrupt.
Yep, sometimes discovery is a bitch......
This case never would have made it to discovery. It would have been thrown out by the Judge at first opportunity. Arod didn’t have a leg to stand on. At this point all he was doing was further alienating the union and his fellow players.
“The Yankees made sure he will never be bankrupt.”
Yes. All said, he will gather around $300 million from the Yankees. Much of that has been spent already. And after he retires his commercial/endorsement viability will be very limited. Even signing baseballs might not cover much for him. The key is if his expensive lifestyle, legal bills, and divorce settlement will drain his account more quickly than expected.
A-Rhoid played third base? When? Two years ago? Wasn’t he on the bench the last year or so. He probably has splinters near his hemmie-Rhoids.
Bosco is a delicious chocolate drink for kids and grownups.
Sure, we can debate till Kingdom Come about whether he should be in the HOF.
But Pete SIGNED on the dotted line agreeing to the ban.
Again he can argue all he wants, but the agreement he signed said that Giamatti's stand could never be overturned by a future Commissioner.
A-Rod knew the score, and he KNEW he wouldn't "win". Not now at least.
He can try perhaps in 2015.
At least he has that going for him.
Pete doesn't have much of a leg to stand on. For now he's going to sit out 2014.
Rose will be "sitting" for a lot longer.
I see what you did there.
