For a 6,000 year old Earth to be fact, the vast majority of scientists (believers and nonbelievers alike) engaged in the fields of geology, biology, archeology, chemistry, physics, cosmology, and thermodynamics would have to be participating in a massive global conspiracy to hide the truth about a Young Earth, with an airtight system to keep whistleblowers from revealing the conspiracy.

The accepted age of the Earth of 4.5 billion years according to science, and the Young Earth Creationist view of 6,000 years represents an order of magnitude difference of 750,000.

The question for the conspiracy theorists would be: Why 750,000? Why not fool mankind by a factor of 75,000, or 750, or 75?
