Oh, I just realized I didn't make myself clear. He was a priest, Father Sullivan. I'm pretty sure that he wasn't a wild man at any time of his life.

He spent a LOT of time breaking up steady relationships because of "an occasion to sin."

Not many kids liked him, and he could be petty and show one-upmanship against 15-18 year old kids. I pretty much hated him because he was
a lot like my horrible oldest brother, who did the same sort of stuff to me when I was a young child, but with physical and emotional abuse
added like arm-twisting and berating me for not being as smart as he was. He was 14-1/2 years older and expected me to be a genius at 8 or 9.

My brother is dead. He had a malignant brain tumor and passed away in 1990. It’s shameful, but I did not cry over him. I’m not sure whether his wife was all that unhappy either. He had a large insurance policy.
