Duh. More free time. Hello. If you look at the picture you'll see a man holding a sign that states "We Wanna Work". I guess he didn't get the memo cause according to the spokesmodels from the white house, no they/we don't. They/we relish less hours and more free time to tuck their/our kids in at night (instead of, ugh, working) and time to do what they/we are passionate about. It truly is turning in to bizzaro frickin' world. Lucky for us the "lyin' king" has ensured that we've turned the corner and the economy is on the road to recovery and everybody has free health coverage. Whether they/we want it or not. Sunflowers, rainbows, pink unicorns. Ahhhhh.

I was reading on hotair that from January 2013 to January 2014 there were 1.9 million new jobs created but 2.2 million new unemployed. A net loss of 300k jobs. So that’s about the average. Of course the unemployment rate drops due to the unemployed running out of bennies and no longer counting in the labor force.

Obama has fundamentally transformed America and freed these Americans from job lock (and from accomplishment, independence, and setting a positive example for their families). That is change - as promised.

That 145 million IS NOT the number of PEOPLE employed. It is the number of JOBS held. The number of full-time salaried jobs held is about 27 million.

Does that count legitimate retirees? If so, they should be subtracted from the total to give us an honest assessment of the situation. After all, we are not RATs (who won’t even count those who have given up looking for work as unemployed).

Yeah but the unemployment number is going down drastically at 6.6% presently so all is good. Just keep watching tv and reading the want ads and collecting a check because unemployment is coming down...

This is glorious news comrades. Millions are unshackled from the drudgery of capitalist exploitation.
Plus, the economy is SOOO good people can afford to retire and not work so much.
