FYI.....

Alorton was once part of suburban Cahokia, a Mississippian city of an estimated 25,000 souls in around 1100 AD

Cahokia is said to have been larger than London at the time

Ah, yes - Cahokia. What a great place.

Some years ago, some friends and took the train to St. Louis, got talking to the piano player on the paddlewheeler Robert E. Lee, and ended up at his friend’s bar in Cahokia late one evening.

We had to knock on the front door to be let in because they had apparently been having trouble with ‘locals’ coming in and robbing the whole place, patrons and employees alike.

Needless to say, we had a blast - but I’ll never go back. Ever.
