I don't blame the colleges. Colleges are businesses which generate revenue by getting living bodies into the classroom. The majority of high school graduates are too stupid to learn, so colleges invent bogus classes and degrees that a monkey could pass.

I blame the parents. They've been indoctrinated with the idea that their children are little gods. Their (the parent's) task is to make their little darlings feel special. Spoiled. Entitled.

Back when America was great, children were brought up to feel ordinary. They had responsibility. They had chores. They had to perform, especially in school.

Now children are brought up to feel special. And when a person feels he's "special", he expects "special" treatment.

Ooh boy...you hit a nerve with me on THAT one...”special”...I am dealing with a grandson issue right now that i think comes from that...and my son was NOT brought up that way...but his wife is an enabler of self centeredness”...which is what “special” really is about
