The millennials who read this are going to be pissed. It does not praise them enough. It’s not fair to comment on their lack of skill and integrity.
That said, we are foolish to lump and entire generation into this evaluation. Let the shoe fit. Keep looking for the best.

I could’ve written this entire article in one word: Feminism. Feminism empowered the devil to penetrate our government and all facets of our society.

Ok, I think this article highlights a bigger national problem than the ones you cite.

I was trained by my parents from the time i could walk.
When I got out of grammer school I had more experience and knowledge than the useless kids coming out of college today.

The only good thing about this is that it will become easier for older people to find work. I've started hiring mostly older people myself because I've been burned too often with young workers.
Recently I had to let a talented 24-year-old go. He had the ability but not the work ethic. He would show up late, leave early, extend his lunch break, dressed sloppy and he constantly had to be told to take the earplugs out of his ear - he was either making personal phone calls or listening to music when he was supposed to be working. He saw nothing wrong with taking a "sick" day just about every other week. The excuses for missing work were endless. Always some aunt or cousin dying, a car problem or some other drama. The final straw was when we found him playing video games on this company computer. He never did understand why we had a problem with that sort of thing.

1. By 2018, Millennials will have the most spending power of any generation.
2. In the last 5 years: 87% of Millennial workers took on management roles, vs 38% of Gen X & just 19% of Boomers.
3. By 2025, 3 out of every 4 workers globally will be Millennials.
This “data” was posted on the website as a comment critical of the article. Does anyone actually believe this nonsense! Laughable.

"Teen jobs" ceased to be "teen jobs" LONG before the illegals took them over. A lot of teens are too busy with soccer, martial arts, cheer, etc., plus texting friends, playing video games, and watching/filming youtube clips to work at a menial job like fast food, snow shoveling, lawn mowing, or babysitting.
Entire industries have grown around what used to be recreational sports, necessitating attendance at special camps in support of sports activities. Many parents want their kids to "have fun" in middle/high school. They also feel guilty for never being home and indulge their teens. Trouble is, they keep wanting to be indulged long after high school.

maybe a Governmnet mandated higher min. wage will provide them with some motivation.
Heck, here in Alberta we have the lowest min. wage in Canada, lowest unemployment rate and the highest avg hourly wage.
Wait....what?

well then maybe these “employers” will give the skilled and hardworking unemployed 50 somethings jobs. The work will then get done

Wow. Look at all the butt-hurt thin-skinned millennials commenting on how the author is just old and stupid and probably isn’t willing to pay enough for real talent. I mean, is that a better illustration of highly they regard themselves or what?

Nothing new. Back in the early 60s my father ─ a self taught production engineer ─ complained about the latest crop of new engineers, calling them college educated idiots. He had worked his way up from a tool and die maker. Years later I thought of his comment. These young engineers had the book learning but little actual experience and internships were rare and they were given little responsibility. I saw the same thing with most second lieutenants. I met two that were the exception, they knew they were lost and in over their heads. Unlike many NCOs I took them under my wing and taught them what they needed. Both turned into great officers.
