The FBI brought a video to Honeywell to show us (late 80’s as I recall.) An FBI agent posing as an American executive checks into a Paris hotel. Then he and his team take us on a tour of the room he gets. It’s wired for sound, the fax machine and shredder sent images to someplace. There were cameras focused on the bed. The computer station had a camera focused on where you’d put your keyboard. All of this was courtesy of the French Secret Service. They spy on American companies.

I knew one fellow in college who would go into the communal shower, turn all 12 heads on full blast with hot water and then lie down in the middle of the room and enjoy the steam bath for as long as he could stand it.
