While President Obama tries to usurp Congress authority by passing legislation via executive fiat, at least eight members of Congress are offering to help him along with the scheme.
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, recently announced the formation of the Congressional Full Employment Caucus, saying its members would give President Obama a number of executive orders that he can sign, according to CNS News.
We will be answering the call of all of America because people need work, and were not doing right by them by creating work, Lee said in a Jan. 29 speech at a gathering of Democratic lawmakers. I believe this caucus will put us on the right path, and well give President Obama a number of executive orders that he can sign with pride and strength.
Apparently, despite her 19 years in Congress, Lee has yet to learn that the only work she can create is in her own office. Nonetheless, she plowed ahead.
In fact, I think that should be our No. 1 agenda, she said. Lets write up these executive orders draft them, of course and ask the president to stand with us on full employment.

The Congressional Full Employment Caucus was launched last week by Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich. Other members are: Reps. Frederica Wilson, D-Fla.; Charles Rangel, D-N.Y.; Maxine Waters, D-Calif.; Barbara Lee, D-Calif.; José Serrano, D-N.Y.; and Mike Quigley, D-Ill.
CNS reported:
"Executive orders issued by a president have the full force of law and do not have to receive approval by the legislative branch of government. During his State of The Union address last week, President Obama made clear he was willing to use executive actions to sidestep Congress."
The caucus members are willingly abdicating their own authority to propose and pass laws, destroying the principles of separation and balance of power Americas republic is based on.
While the majority of the constituents of this “Full Employment” Caucus would likely slit your throat if you told them they actually had to get a job.
Yes Caliph Baraq is just the pretty face for the Chicago Mob.
Bien...My high school French is still clicking (somewhat)
[Love the ‘bat merde’ thing]
Jackson Lee is a prime example of gerrymandering voting boundaries to allow minority groups to elect minorities. It lets them elect someone who lacks a single brain cell just because she/they are of the same minority. Unfortunately, she is one of those who gets to submit and vote on laws that effect the whole country. And when one is as dumb as Shiela Jackson Lee, that is not good!
isn’t it TOTUS’ job to give him his orders?
Maintenant, je dois m’excuser auprès de chauves-souris et leur merde.
Had to go translate that one. But very funny....
I wonder how the rest of the House will react.
What constitution ?
We have one...coulda fooled me...
That will teach you to go tossing around Emile Zola Dreyfus references. :)
The poor sad creature.
The fact that she wins all these elections in Texas clearly shows that it is not all small town values and love of God and country down there. And I cannot help but fear that it is getting worse and at times I am not sure how long the smaller towns can hold out against the influence of Austin, Houston, Dallas, El Paso and San Antonio.
I wonder how all these “minority” entitlements are going to work once whites are the minority in this country, as we already are globally. (Not really, I don’t wonder. The rules will change then to “majority rules”.)
Yeah, probably, but I got all I wanted out of my high school French on the coast of Belgium one summer in 1970 when I met this French girl there on vacation after having just divorced her husband and looking for some payback on that cheating bastard..
The white leftists, now that they have taken over the large cities using minorities, are implementing agendas to export these minorities to the small white flight towns and communities in order to dilute the little power and say that they have, and to rid themselves of the dysfunction and inflict it on those who were honest enough to flee the source of the dysfunction. All along, they’ve used their economic power to segregate themselves from the dysfunction in the cities. Now that that’s no longer enough, they are exporting the problem.
She represents “inner city” Houston, and is a carpet bagger from New Yawk City. I think Dallas still has some pockets of reasons, and that Houston probably does too (River Oaks, etc.). El Paso has been completely colonized by Mexico and San Antonio is just as bad. Austin has for years longed to be Berkeley-on-the-Colorado. A great deal of this is Lyndon Johnson’s fault, if you ask me.
Kurt Gödel, logician, said once that he had found a deadly flaw in the United States constitution that allowed for a dictatorship. He never said what it was. I wonder if it was this one: the President says “I’ll sign any executive order”, his side of the Legislative gives him non-voted bills to sign. And, since there’s no strong enough opposition, he can’t be removed. Sounds creepy as creepy crawlers.
Give your depression a rest for a while and quit trying to spread it.
There is a lot more to Texas than those cities.
Texas is much more conservative now than when Lyndon embarrassed us all.
