Duck Dynasty could be coming to a church near you.
Korie Robertson, wife of Duck Commander CEO Willie Robertson, and her mother, Chrys Howard, are releasing a book and DVD set of a five-week church curriculum through Zondervan.
Faith Commander: Living Five Values from the Parables of Jesus will be released in May.
With the Faith Commander curriculum, we took some commonly found themes that the show Duck Dynasty actually teaches, Robertson said in a statement. We use these, not in a preaching sort of way, but really the kind of way that shows how we live our lives and the way our family works. This faith is behind who we are as a family and what keeps us together and strong.
The book focuses on the five themes found in the parables of Jesus, which include, faith, forgiveness, obedience, prayer and kindness.
We chose the parable of Jesus because sometimes they are not always studied like they should be, Howard said in a statement. God put those in the Bible for us to learn from. Willie, Phil (Robertson), Alan (Robertson), and well, all the guys are great storytellers. In Faith Commander, they explain the parables as stories to bring people closer to God. We really believe that this is going to benefit the entire church family kids, adults and teens. Its something families can all study together just like they watch the TV show together.

Huzzah for the Robertson family! First, they kicked the asses of the PC asses. Now, they’re rubbing their noses in it.
Love their family. I wish they’d adopt me!!
I hear there going be another book featuring White Sheep of the family Alan Robertson talk about marriage and family you have wait till 2015 for that book come out
Good for them. Good for America.
I don’t look to corporate leaders/TV personalities for spiritual growth.
Nor do I look to pastors/theologians for business strategies.
Simply doing what Jesus asked believers in Him to do.
God bless them. The viewers can decide what it is they like to see and believe or not.
Christians are often timid and tentative about bringing up the discussion in a public venue. We have been so jumped upon by the political correctness police, as to be suppressed..!!!
Let us be as brave as the DUCK DYNASTY. There are few TV programs with Christian standards. Actually Christians are essentially persecuted today in schools, public arenas, etc. God's commandments are for our good and not following them is sinful.
God forgive us our sins and God bless America.
From what we know, they are a remarkable family.
The Robertsons are living proof for all to see that we have not yet been succumbed to the “Fundamental Transformation” of America pursued by the godless socialists who have temporarily taken the reins of power through deceit and dishonesty.
God Bless Them all and may God continue to Bless America.
Amen to that, FRiend!
That Korrie is really something!

Do you understand this family was preaching the gospel outside of churches long before there was a TV show?
Phil was baptising folks in the river near their house while those those TV personalities were still living at home with Mom & Dad. Willie run a church youth camp before he was working for Duck Commander.
I know that. They are great people of faith.
But I stand by what I said.
I would say these are Spiritual People more than they are corporate leaders and TV personalities. They have said the TV stuff is not going to last. While it does, they will use it to get the message of the Gospel to more people.
Cheers!
I am strongly impressed by this family as I learn more and more about them outside of the TV show.
There are a lot of info from them that isn’t filter by A&E. It is rewarding to read and watch.

Over the last 30 years we have seen enough gimmicks and the ends justfies the means techniques. The American church has been wounded by all of them.
We need to follow what Scripture teaches, not man made techniques, in this case cute evangelism.
Have you ever listened to any of the Robertson's sermons as given in the church they attend/officiate?
I'm just curious how you know this is a man-made technique and/or cute evanglism.
