A seismometer inside a borehole at Yellowstone National Park has begun reporting staggering underground activity near the southwest corner of Yellowstone Lake, possibly signaling the beginning of an eruption of the Super Volcano at the Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone National Park is home to many beauties, with its ancient landscape, geysers, and hot springs. It is also the site of one of the worlds most destructive forces. A supervolcano.

“Looks like the seismic activity ended 4am MST on 4/2.”

we can laugh about it...but it is serious....basically, there is nothing we can do about it anyway... So, might as well have a good laugh.

For real. If what is under Yellowstone ever fully erupts it's goodbye for about 90%of the US and fairly big chunk of Mexico and a good part of Canada. I remember seeing a documentary that said old Yellerstone is some several thousand years overdue to erupt. Not a good scenario all the way around.

What would happen if a hole was drilled three miles deep? It's a trick question. You never get down to three miles before the drill melts.

Finally, the wankers worried about global warming will be saved, as the world goes into global winter for decades to centuries.

In a historic massive eruption event, it’s possible boulders the size of homes would rain down on the surrounding 5 or 6 states. This just isn’t a volcano, but a super volcano.
“” Most scientists think that the buildup preceding a catastrophic eruption would be detectable for weeks and perhaps months to years. Precursors to volcanic eruptions include strong earthquake swarms””

It’s OK, I’m upwind. I’ll be toasting marshmallows just as soon as I find the right fork on Ebay. It’ll have to be about 350 miles long.

You’re missing the point. .308 probably won’t do you a lick of good if this goes off. Nothing will.
