For some, Animal Planets annual Puppy Bowl is more sacred than the Super Bowl.
CNN summed it up in a nutshell:
. . . the sublime result of pairing a bunch of wiggly puppies 66, in fact with squeaky toys and a mini-stadium set. Add a rufferee and a kitty-filled halftime, and every floppy tackle or slobbered-on football inspires an unintelligible burst of baby talk and giggles. Thats the power of puppies!
Maybe its not for everyone, but those who love it want to keep politics out, and who can blame them?
This year, Michelle Obama had to go and ruin it for many who just wanted to have a joyful day void of lectures and goofy (human) faces . . . oh , and anti-fat propaganda.
Twitchy captured the sentiments of the highly disappointed viewers:
Apparently , in addition to a Lets Move lecture, the first lady showed some not so ladylike moves as well.
Dan Gainor, Vice President of the Culture and Media Institute at the Media Research Centers commented:
Once again, Hollywood gives the Obamas the gift that keeps on giving almost infinite TV time. First Lady Michelle Obama scored her 75th TV appearance with a spot in the middle of Puppy Bowl X. It isnt enough for Hollywood liberals to bombard us with the First Lady in everything from Sesame Street to the Oscars. Now we get the Mrs. Obama even with our silly puppy play time.
Even worse, TV has increased its in-kind contributions of time to the Democratic First Lady. Five years in, Michelle Obama has already outpaced First Lady Laura Bushs entire eight years 75-53. Mrs. Obama is racking up appearances 225% more than her predecessor. Thats entertainment.
Coupling that TV support with the millions of dollars raised by actors like George Clooney makes it obvious this isnt TV, its a political contribution.
The second they showed Michelle Obama on the Puppy Bowl I changed the channel. I didnt mind seeing the First Dogs Bo and Sunny because they are cute pups, but I don’t want to see that Marxist woman on my TV screen while Im watching adorable puppies
I fell in love with Ferrel Owens and Tom Cat Brady!
We, too, headed over to the Kitten Bowl and O.D.ed on cuteness. Especially liked the tailgate party scenes — little cars, little lawn chairs, etc. Adorable all the way around.
Well it IS the puppy bowl so shouldn’t they have at least one b*tch?
Your point about Michelle aside
.I'm surprised you admitted that in open forum.
Then how come I never saw any pictures of her at Walter Reed, because if she did go she would have had an army of press.
What? You don’t like puppies? BTW, I am allowed to be a wuss! I’m a woman.
The Kitten Bowl was great! I’ve watched only half of it so far, but I have it on the DVR.
Moochelle will probably stick herself into IT next year....
Maybe its like when you go to a seafood place and you pick you lobster out of the tank she was just picking up Barry’s din din
Yes, so he says. But Romney let one ride outside of his car.
And barry wont ride on the same plane as him
She was just shopping for dinner.
Looks like it worked.
Yea, a couple times I think.........LOL!
God it’s so painful to think about another 3 years of these horrible people! Which means I will have suffered an 8 full years of depression in my lifetime. Because of them.
I watched about 2 minutes of the Puppy Bowl before they cut away to Michelle wooking on the WH lawn.
Turned the channel to Fox just as they were switching to the WH for the Obama-O’Reilly interview.
Switched channels again to watch a streaming feed of the old HBO series, The Wire.
I can’t believe I have never heard about the Puppy Bowl...... where have I been????????:(
