A Michigan woman was confronted last week by a machete-wielding, ski mask-wearing would-be home invader, forcing her to exercise her Second Amendment rights. As if thats not scary enough, what alerted her to the intruder is downright terrifying.
The suspect, a 15-year-old teen who was also armed with a shotgun, woke up the Michigan woman at around 1:00 a.m. Friday as he repeatedly tried to break into her home.
The woman, who asked not to be identified, told WOOD-TV she heard a mysterious tapping noise from the floor below her.
I kept hearing, Tap, tap, tap. Tap, tap, tap, she said.
As it turns out, the tapping noise was the sound of a machete being scrapped against the front door.
Her children asleep in the next room, the woman grabbed her gun, rushed to the top of the stairs and drew a bead on the teenage suspect.
And I pointed my gun right at him, and he took a couple of steps back, she said.
It was all her at that moment. With her husband still serving overseas in Afghanistan, it was up to her to defend her children from the relentless suspect.
I felt like I was playing a game with him that he would step up closer to the door. I would raise the gun and he would step back, she said.
The teen prowled around the house, looking for a way into her home.
My biggest fear was if he shot me and killed me, or if I shot him and he shot back and I have two kids, she said.

Another “teen.”
Some little bastard shows up at my front door with a ski mask, shotgun and machete, he’s going to die where he stands.
Boom. Dead. Laying on the doorstep, patiently waiting for the coroner.
Link to rest of story?
use the element of surprise. do not expose your position except to act. locate and identify the target. wait for the opening. strike decisively.
if they’re in your house, they mean you and yours grave bodily harm.
let them experience it first
Amen. At my house, he would have been dead. Period.
I actually think a non shooting story involving a gun is just as good as a shooting story. It shows that gun owners aren’t trigger happy.
A few years back we had a case where an armed victim stabbed his attacker and local liberals had fits trying to figure out why he didn’t shoot. The guy said he just didn’t want to escalate the situation and kill someone for being a drunken idiot.
Here is the link. Sorry.
He better get SMART real fast or he will be a DEAD young criminal before long. What a moron.
It is so easy to make money in this country. NO one should have to break into someone's home for what??? a watch or two? a few bucks in the wallet? MORONS.
Law enforcement officials said theyre confused by the entire situation, explaining that theyre not sure what the adolescent hoped to achieve with the potentially deadly act.
Maybe he was banging the more than the door?
Is anyone a tad suprised that in the second paragraph it mentions that the tens was “also armed with a shotgun..”
Really??? Fifteen year old teen??? Did someone at The Blaze go to the American Redundant Journalism School of Journalism of America?
!
Fix a bayonet knife to your long gun. Then you can choose when to escalate.
/bingo
Maybe he wasn’t after money. (there are all kinds out there...)
The local police advise to kill them before they make it inside, because it's much easier spraying down the porch with a garden hose than your living room.
