The sun was just beginning to rise over the Rocky Mountains, but Sheriff Justin Smith was already awake. He was standing outside Fort Collins High School shivering in the frigid cold.
It was 12 degrees. Snow was falling. But Mr. Smith, wearing his dress blues, stood resolute, waving an American flag.
The sheriff of Larimer County, Colorado had come to school Tuesday to send a message to those responsible for educating the countys children. The sheriff was not in a good mood.
He was standing in the winter snow to protest the schools decision to ban a celebration of American patriotism.
(snip)
But after a day of righteous Rocky Mountain outrage, the principal at Fort Collins High School reversed course and apologized.

No, but only if Ft. Collins is west of the Rocky Mountains, which it is not.
Ya see the first two sentences of this article Mr.Tucker? Read the article.
If the sun was just *beginning* to rise and Sheriff Smith was already standing outside Fort Collins High School, the sun would be rising *over* the plains of eastern Colorado, not the Rocky Mountains.
This is not complex.
Neither is it relevant to the topic of the article, which is the point of my post to you.
But, if you would prefer to discuss the time of sunrise in Fort Collins, CO instead of balkanization of the USA, by all means, don't let me stand in your way.
It was the article/author which brought it up and discussed it. I just commented on what the article stated, so it was indeed relevant.
Fact is it was you who came in a full day later and decided to bring this up, instead of discussing the balkanization of the USA, you referred to.
I've been commenting on the balkanization/invasion of this country for about 17 years here Mr. Tucker...In fact I'd bet a cup of coffee I've discussed this issue much more than you have by a series of magnitudes.
Anything else Ol' Dan Tucker?
To be technically correct (impossible for a journalism major) the sun doesn’t actually rise. The mountains rotate into position.
In this time how many posts on this thread did you make regarding the main topic of the article?

Where in the article was the time of sunrise discussed?

Okay. Prove it. Orders of magnitude, please.
Anything else Ol' Dan Tucker?
What time did Sheriff Justin Smith begin his vigil outside the school?
What time did the sun rise over the Rockies?
For someone who wanted to talk about the balkanization of the USA, you sure have a very odd way to doing it.
In fact, I don’t see any posts from you on this thread in that regard. Very odd.
Do you work for Dial an Argument?
LOL! Have a great day!
“Oh no, that’s next door. It’s being-hit-on-the-head lessons in here.”
U2
Not Dial an Argument. Likely exhibiting the effects of a fifth of cheap bourbon while perusing FR.
I suspected that was a possibility.
