It's Official: Sandra Fluke Files for Congress

Sandra Fluke has made it official: she has filed to run for the congressional seat being vacated by Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) after 40 years.
The birth control advocate who shook up the 2012 presidential campaign does not live in the 33rd district, but is eligible to run for the seat. She will be facing off against local Democratic stalwart Wendy Greuel, who narrowly missed winning the Los Angeles mayor's race last year, among others.

Yep, probably win because she's now a “celebrity” and California loves famous people. But, people get what they deserve in voting. Let's just hope Ms. Fluke has enough time between romantic encounters to serve her possible constituents.

Her election will be the climax of election night 2014. Regardless of whatever else happens, control of Congress, etc. the media will celebrate her election. Oy! This is also the district of the excellent website Gay Patriot. Their heads are going to explode all over West Hollywood when they read this.

No reason she shouldn’t, with all the free PR and name recognition she’s got. I thought at the time when she was allowed to speak at the DNC “Gee thanks Rush, by shooting off your mouth you’ve given us another career politician, a future Nancy Pelosi replacement”.
Within the bounds of law, Rush enjoys free speech just like the rest of us, but when you call a woman a slut from your nationwide radio show, this is the kind of unintended consequence you may have to live with.
