CNN/ORC International survey also indicates the number of Americans who hope that his policies will succeed has dropped 12 points since last year and a majority now predicts that his policies will fail.

The President's 45% approval rating is consistent with several other national polls released just before last week's State of the Union address.

The speech might have been a mild net plus for Obama, with 44% of all Americans saying they had a generally positive view of the speech

The CNN poll was conducted by ORC International January 31-February 2, with 1,010 adults nationwide questioned by telephone.

Note that this is a poll done by CNN and it is a poll of adults. Just think how he must be doing among registered and likely voters!

A few other interesting results:

58% HOPE Obama's plans will succeed (Q 3)

37% THINK Obama's plans will likely succeed and 56% THINK they will fail (Q 4)

Polls from Marxist outfits like CNN are bogus. They do little more then boost the morale of their fellow comrades.

Just spent the day yesterday with www.healthnet.com oh fun. on hold for 30 min or more, and they would then give me yet another number to call. I think I called about 6 numbers. They doubled my son’s health insurance monthly premium, raised his deduc by 50%. They added mammograms, IUDs, maternity care, birth control pills, pediatric vision and dental. HE IS A MAN! He will be 30 soon, he is single, doesn’t smoke or drink, body builder, health nut. Super healthy. I got him the policy because he was not working and I thought it would be good to have Catastrophic coverage! He wants to know where to go for his mammograms and IUDs!

Then I was looking at his policy and they assigned him a primary care physician. A CHIROPRACTOR 1,000 miles from his house.

Thank you Obama. IT was JUST FINE BEFORE ObamaCare!!!!!!!!!!! We aren’t Saving that $2500 per year. This one costs THOUSANDS more per year

Not hard to figure out why: the President's policies have done nothing to correct the underlying issues in our economy.

We need a combination of streamlined regulations (there are WAY too many obsolete and unneeded laws "on the books") and a less economy-sapping national taxation system to really get our economy going again.

You misread it:

“58% HOPE Obama’s plans will succeed (Q 3) “

Makes you wonder who those are.

Another interesting tid-bid, people don’t seem to be interested in his speeches anymore — remember back at the beginning they swooned over him...

Q 5:

52% did not watch any of the speech, only 16% watched the whole thing.

58% HOPE Obama's plans will succeed (Q 3)

That's the most disturbing number of all, but not particularly surprising, given the decidedly leftward tilt of the nation now..

There may be less swooning but is it too late? Will these empty headed buffoons continue their reckless voting habits? Yes.

If we had a real opposition party, they would seize this opportunity, explain to the average voter why POTUS' policies are failing, and work diligently to try to expand the electoral map. Instead they give an instantly forgettable SOTU response, seek to drag themselves down with Obama's numbers by offering to "work together" in the "year of action", and divide the party with an issue that only of 3% of the public wants addressed.

They're beyond hope.

Time for the Tea Party to seize the moment again.

Have you, or anyone on this site, seen a list of which nations are leaning to the left or to the right, and how the current liberty climate is in 2014? Some of us want to emigrate.
