Good thing dogsledding is not an Olympic sport...
Maybe they are just stocking up for a visit by Obama and want to make him feel at home.
THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN ON A DINNER TABLE IN CHINA ALREADY.
I don’t follow the Olympics much, but that is the best way to handle feral dog populations - and I’m a dog owner.
Instead of shooting stray dogs, they should be dealing with mad dogs (Muslims).
They may be headed there, come to think of it
Russias newest agriculural export: Dogs
that could put a few new folds in the games, yes!
Precisely what I was thinking.

Beware of Achmed and his buddies strolling around posing as dog killers.

Korean teams will be well fed..................
Sad, but true. I’ve lived and worked in countries where the local pariah dog population was so bad it endangered flight operations. On one of my jungle hoppers, the landing gear struck a dog on the dirt airstrip just as we lifted off. Nearly brought us down. And, its a real eye opener when there’s a rabies outbreak.
I don’t recall stray dogs, but went back late after-hours to the youth hostel (climbing up a drain and into a window!) in Copenhagen years ago walking past all sorts of drunks and homeless people on cardboard, etc.
Four hours later I was packed and walking back out to catch an early train before sunrise. The streets and squares were cleared of everyone and everything, with the pavement damp from the street sweeper. It was REALLY weird - like a movie (”Soylent Green”)

6am Sunday morning on Bourbon Street. Same thing.
They’re worried about terrorists...BUT, they’re allowing civilians to roam around firing guns under the guise of animal control?
What could possibly go wrong...
In WWII the Soviet Union used dogs to make boots. FWIW, I haven’t seen any vintage Soviet WWII boots on eBay recently...
Beautiful! You must be a Monte Python fan...”Good thing we didn’t mention the dirty knife”.
