FR is pro-God, pro-Life, pro-family, pro-constitution, pro-limited government and will remain that way. Regardless of any consequences!!
You're either with us on this or against us.
Moderation is not the solution, it is the problem!!
We do not surrender, we do not retreat, we do not negotiate or compromise on our unalienable rights to Life and Liberty or our sovereignty!!
Karl Rove and the GOP-e moderates and all like them can KMA!!
You cannot moderate evil, you fight it!!

"But articles get posted on FR all the time showing abortion has the lowest support of the population since Roe v. Wade. The argument to moderate on that issue doesnt seem logical: The country was much less pro-life when Reagan won in 1980 and 1984. Just saying. "
People are realizing that this:
Is not this:
The liberal lie of "It's just a bunch of tissue" is being exposed as prenatal care increases with advances in ultrasound and MRI imaging.

Jim, maybe I’m not quite understanding what happened before, but it looked to me like that poster was arguing FOR the ultimate elimination of abortion, but by incremental means. It wasn’t exactly clear based on the few posts I saw (following the initial post) but if one were to give him the benefit of the doubt it would seem like he wanted to nickel-and-dime it to death, much like the Democrats have incrementally pushed socialism on the country.

Abortion is death and our morals are drowning, slowly.
6 am day after Christmas
I throw some clothes on in the dark
The smell of cold
Car seat is freezing
The world is sleeping
I am numb
Up the stairs to her apartment
She is balled up on the couch
Her mom and dad went down to Charlotte
they’re not home to find us out
And we drive
Now that I have found someone
I’m feeling more alone
Than I ever have before
She’s a brick and I’m drowning slowly
they call her name at 7:30
I pace around the parking lot
then I walk down to buy her flowers
And sell some gifts that I got
Can’t you see
It’s not me you’re dying for
Now she’s feeling more alone
Then she ever has before
She’s a brick and I’m drowning slowly
off the coast and I’m headed nowhere
She’s a brick and I’m drowning slowly
As weeks went by
It showed that she was not fine
They told me son it’s time to tell the truth
She broke down and I broke down
Cause I was tired of lying
Driving home to her apartment
For the moment we’re alone
She’s alone
I’m alone
Now I know it

[ Have to post this reminder from time-to-time. Had to ban another long-term FReeper today who suddenly decides we should moderate our position on Life. No thanks. ]
How do you moderate on life, something cannot be half-dead and half living?????
Is this some sorta of Schrodinger’s cat argument on abortion I am not privy about....?
The fetus isn’t alive unless observed ie.. born????
Of course that is what some have interpreted the current “law” as which seem crazy... that is like saying that you can rob a bank if no one notices.....

The Catechism of the Catholic Church On Respect for Human Life Sections 2259 2283 (From the Holy See Website)
For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
Psalm 139:13-16 (KJV)
PRAYER TO END ABORTION
Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of my life, And for the lives of all my brothers and sisters. I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion, Yet I rejoice that you have conquered death by the Resurrection of Your Son. I am ready to do my part in ending abortion. Today I commit myself Never to be silent, Never to be passive, Never to be forgetful of the unborn. I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement, And never to stop defending life Until all my brothers and sisters are protected, And our nation once again becomes A nation with liberty and justice Not just for some, but for all, Through Christ our Lord. Amen!

PRAYER TO SAINT MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL
Sancte Michael Archangele, defende nos in proelio; contra nequitiam et insidias diaboli esto praesidium. Imperet illi Deus, supplices deprecamur: tuque, Princeps militiae Caelestis, satanam aliosque spiritus malignos, qui ad perditionem animarum pervagantur in mundo, divina virtute in infernum detrude. Amen.
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host - by the Divine Power of God - cast into hell, Satan and all the evil spirits, who wander about the world seeking the destruction of souls. Amen.

While I think legal abortion is disgusting and abhorent, I can certainly see the logic behind an argument that we should refrain from making abortion a central issue in campaigns if that issue is causing us to lose elections. IOW, get elected first, using whatever issues necessary to do so, and then work on eliminating abortion. I don’t really think that’s necessary since the majority is on our side on this issue, but I can understand the argument.

The fetus isnt alive unless observed ie.. born???? IMO it's the same mentality exhibited by a driver on the highway, flicking a spent cigarette butt out of their car window. Once it's caught by the wind and whisked away from them, they neither know nor care what happens to it.

What just cause can there be in killing an unborn human? There isn't. You misunderstood me.
Again, there are plenty of just reasons for killing another human being. Being attacked, George Zimmerman-style, for one. Having someone invade your home/property uninvited and with malicious or unclear intent. Executing justice, such as in a capital crime conviction.
None of these are murder.

Yeah, I understand that as well. While a position on abortion itself is non-negotiable, I would think that there could be healthy debate among pro-life people about the best way to achieve that goal.
