For those who haven't figured it out already double clicking on the map zooms in and you zoom out by double clicking while holding down the shift key.

A single click on a spot on the map cause the local conditions at that location to be displayed. I'm unsure of the accuracy or timeliness.

To change the units (MPH, KM/H, Cent., Far.), click on the unit displayed to toggle through the list.

Geez, just use the Mouse wheel. It zooms in and out so you don't have to use both hands on the keyboard.
