“$$s don’t get you elected. Votes do.”

Here in the People’s Soviet of Washington, all ballots are mail-in. You think that was done to save money, or improve the transparency of the vote security process?

If you don’t think that a Republican has to win by at least 4% in order to lose by a few votes (happened here in WA twice), then you’ve lead a relatively sheltered political existence.

Money typically buys access to voters, but I think you make a valid point. The Internet is making it much easier and probably significantly less expensive to reach potential voters. Expensive network and newspaper ad buys seem to be less effective. I think we’re entering an era where the big political war chests deliver much less bang for a buck.

Sometimes only the lost causes are truly worth fighting for. A Good 3rd party could be munted in ayear—with the right people it could make a real difference. WE should bolt the GOP—for the 3rd party—or take over one of the existing 3rd Parties. The Liberty Party. Our cousens across the pond have started the UKIP— They are pointing the way.
