I applaud this commissioner. Red light cameras are a joke....and are ripe for abuse.

I hope this is the beginning of a tsunami of cities and states getting rid of red light cameras.

I think red light cameras at a few specified HIGH RISK intersections would be okay, but south Florida has become a surveillance-ridden area, where someone’s EVERY MOVE could be tracked.

I do not like it.

They are so easy to beat with such little effort. Its a joke.

I used to look for them but now my Waze nav app warns me to them when I am driving, both voice and on app map display.

In this area many were removed because they were not generating enough $$$, some were causing accidents.

Now if the rest of Broward County would follow suit, I would be very happy. The signals from the cameras cause static on my car radio when I am trying to listen to RUSH!

Good...hope this is a trend statewide and nationwide. #1 purpose of cameras is for surveillance...not enforcement
