Cheerios' first ever Super Bowl ad will star the same interracial family that sparked an online firestorm when the cereal brand included it in an ad this past May.

Could much of the speech have gone into the container on the right while the speaker could go into the container on the left?

Has anyone else noticed the ad agencies preoccupation with very light skinned black females, all with Shirley Temple hairdos?
Why no women who might pass for a Native Black African? “African-American” male models & actors in commercials are similar, but at least without the Shirley Temple hairdo.
I guess if white American males get stuck with metro-sexual pajama-boy types as our representatives in ads, it is only fair that African-American women get a heavily tanned 20-something Shirley Temple as their representative.
Cheerios next Black "woman" to appear in an ad:
Really man? Really?
Or Vanessa Willams
Or Tara Setmayer (I love strong, SMART , women)
Ever noticed in ads that the white guys are always made out to be the dummies while the minorities are always the intelligent ones?
We're individualists, not collectivists. (Or at least should be)
and I too missed the firestorm....
frankly, I am pleasantly surprised lately that black women or asian women have been featured with white men....which is the new in vogue social concept...
? I was talking about the ad . Black man / white woman relationships are pushed bigtime but not vice versa . Not against interracial marriage ( my wife is Japanese ) but hate the bias against white men .
.
Yeah but use a good antivirus system to protect your disk.
Yaphat Kotto is the only really black man I can think of that really has African features....and its worse for the women...the black women are always light skinned with petite features, and always, always slender...

Maybe they don’t wanna offend the black folks who loathe the idea of a white man with a black woman.....

I noticed that over the last 20 years in hollywood, they keep picking all the "Gap Model" type actors instead of actors that look more like a decent cross section. Brock Peters was a GREAT actor!! I doubt they would pick him today based on hollywood being only for "looks" instead of acting ability. Most movies and shows these days have all the charm of a commercial with the perfect people with bland vanilla attitude...
I miss him in movies and such may he Rest in Peace.
Except for the MetroPCS from about two years ago.
I’m probably showing my age, but I always liked Paula Kelly (Liz on Night Court).
Beautiful eyes, great dancer...
I remember my first schoolboy crush on Marilyn McCoo of The Fifth Dimension....
Even then I knew Diahann Carroll was pretty.
I had a Julia lunch box and got called all types of names because of it.
Yep, I was right there with you.
He said he came from a single mom family yesterday! Really? When? He was with gramma for about two of his first three years, and she was married. Then he was with mom in Indonesia, and - gasp - she was married. Then he when t back to grandma until he went away to college and grandma was still bleeping married.
He spent max one year as an infant with his unwed mom.
