Any new economic sanctions that Congress tries to impose against Iran during international negotiations to limit the Islamic republics nuclear program will be vetoed, President Barack Obama warned lawmakers on Tuesday, even as he acknowledged the ongoing talks are difficult and may not succeed.
It was the sharpest part of a State of the Union speech that overall was skimpy on details for his foreign policy agenda for the year.
Obama also briefly re-affirmed his promises to end the war in Afghanistan this year, pursue al-Qaida with limited strikes and support Syrian opposition groups in their bloody three-year quest to push their ruler from power. But he avoided clarifying some sticky key issues, including how manyif anytroops might remain in Afghanistan beyond December, or how he will try to convince Americans and foreigners alike that the National Security Agency is not snooping into their telephone and Internet records.

Elections this year are crucial for the future of the US. If we don’t get control of both houses, kiss America good by.

So his claim that it is Congress which is unable to act is — BS.

Guess whose side he is on.Once Bush removed Saddam Hussein and drowning the nation in debt, about the only choice left is between Iran and al-Qaeda. McCain chose al-Qaeda, but remembering 9-11 and Boston, I can't help but think Iran the much lesser evil and that a strong Iran is the greatest obstacle to a de facto radical Wahabist Caliphate.

Mayhap if RINO’s understand that the GOP is in control, they might grow a set. How knows ... got to go with what is given you.

The Nanny State freight train will slow from 120 miles per hour to 99 miles per hour. You are correct sir, unfortunately. They are all in it together. Rats and RINOs. What a bunch if losers.

I didn't mean to seem flippant, sorry. I was hoping that was the caliber of representative you meant.
