The House Republican leaderships broad framework for overhauling the nations immigration laws will call this week for a path to legal status but not citizenship for many of the 11 million adult immigrants who are in the country illegally, according to aides who have seen the partys statement of principles. For immigrants brought to the United States illegally as young children, the Republicans would offer a path to citizenship.

House Republican leaders will circulate it at a three-day retreat for their members that begins Wednesday on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Several pro-immigration organizations that have been briefed on the guidelines say they are not intended to serve as a conservative starting point for future negotiations, but as a gauge of how far to the left House Republicans are willing to move.
The principles say that Republicans do not support a special path to citizenship, but make an exception for the Dreamers, the immigrants brought into the country illegally as children, quoting a 2013 speech by Representative Eric Cantor of Virginia, the House majority leader. One of the great founding principles of our country was that children would not be punished for the mistakes of their parents, Mr. Cantor said at the time. It is time to provide an opportunity for legal residence and citizenship for those who were brought to this country as children and who know no other home.

No, you've got it all wrong. See, this is the lesser of two evils - that's why we need to vote for MORE squishy unprincipled candidates.
This ranks right up there with the genius of Justice Roberts declaring 0care constitutional because the mandate is a tax, so that more court cases can later be heard to say the law he said was constitutional is unconstitutional - pure genius!
Here's how it works: By voting for (R) candidates that support things like amnesty, abortion, queer "marriage," gun bans etc, they can pass laws that give us amnesty, abortion, queer "marriage," and gun bans.........this way the democrats won't be able to pass laws that give us amnesty, abortion, queer "marriage," and gun bans. And since it was (R) people that did it, that equals lesser of two evils and "severe" conservatism.
And in this way, the GOP will have a bigger tent and attract more voters, exampled by all the voters they detracted in 2012 using this same reasoning. See, lesser supporters = more votes. Jeesh, don't you know anything about politics?
/deranged broken glass GOPe supporter with battered wife syndrome
They need to understand that this may well be the last vote any of them make in congress.
As far as I'm concerned just having an "R" beside your name is no qulification for my vote whatsoever.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
If they want to fast track immigrants who are enlisted in the military, medical doctors or are productive with a job, why not? They aren’t the ones killing our welfare systems. BTW muzzies should be excluded.
72 hours, days or weeks...they will get full citizenship. And their first order of business will be to vote.
I’m struck by the complete moral abdication at “National Review” and “Weekly Standard.”
They don’t object to Amnesty.
They object to the timing:
“Its one of the few things that could actually disrupt what looks like a strong Republican year.”
And.....
“The last thing the party needs is a brutal intramural fight when it has been dealt a winning hand.”
So, this is the bone they throw to Conservatives?
If we promise to vote for them in 2014, they promise not to pass Amnesty until 2015?
Such a deal!
I’m through fighting this war against my own Party.
I’m not writing one more email to a Republican representative.
In the future, I will vote for Conservative state initiatives, and I will vote against local tax increases and bond issues.
But as to candidates, if the Republican Party cannot give me a Conservative to vote for, I will not vote at all.
Please don’t stop your emails until after this Amnesty push is stopped.
Recently had Empire Carpet install new carpeting and all the carpet installers where Mexicans who could barely speak any English and didn’t do a good job. Kind of difficult having someone work on your house who doesn’t speak the same language.
If anyone is thinking of purchasing new carpeting Do Not use Empire Carpet. They are a rip-off company and their installers are probably all illegal aliens.
Democrats respond to idea GOP will win votes by passing amnesty http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KnXz_qZ5RE&feature=plcp
I've been fighting non-stop against this Republican suicide mission for 12 years.
The political and intellectual leadership of the GOP has decisively and unapologetically turned against Conservatives, not just on immigration, but on almost every issue I care about.
The best metaphor I can think of is trying to hold on to a woman who doesn't want you anymore.
At some point in time you have to accept reality, and let her go.
The GOP is going to become extint nationally in a few decades anyway because of the collapse of our population, and the democrat’s apparent radical lock on the only remaining fastest growing segments.
What is truly terrifying is the on going demographic collapse of western civilization. Cultural changes towards smaller families have doomed us.
This has happened before and the end is very dark indeed, but what will perhaps be most difficult will be the fore-coming decades when it becomes apparent here just like in Europe that the end of our civilization is already upon us.
Wether the democrats with their blind radical slaves drive us into the ground politically and economically is of little consequence compared to the collapse of the civilization that discovered the world, and took it to the moon and beyond.
We MUST change this mindset among our kin and whom ever else will listen AGAINST small families. We must start having sustainable sized families again of 4+ children per woman.
All other concerns MUST be regarded as secondary to survival, and this IS a matter of survival!
