Ryan says no immigrant workers needed for 10 years
Daily Caller ^ | 1/28/14 | Neil Munro

The nation’s economy won’t need additional immigrants for another 10 years, Rep. Paul Ryan told a friendly audience of Texas business executives.

“We will have labor shortages in — not right now — but in the near future, in, say, a decade,” he predicted during a taped appearance at the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in San Antonio.

Paul’s admission may be a relief for GOP legislators, who are facing conflicting pressures on immigration from voters who are worried about jobs, from business donors eager for new low-wage workers, and from the Democrats’ 2014 campaign strategy of economic populism.

The Jan. 24 forecast comes shortly before Republicans gather for a closed-door strategy meeting in Cambridge, Maryland. GOP leaders, including Ryan, are expected to pressure the caucus to support an unpopular business-backed plan that would immediately increase the flow of low-wage foreign workers — and award work permits to roughly 12 million illegal immigrants — who would compete against their voters for jobs.

Ryan is perhaps the leading GOP advocate for an immigration increase.

“We have to have a guest-worker program so that [foreign] people can come and go freely through the front door to serve our economy, to serve our needs,” Ryan said in Texas, without once mentioning the 20 million unemployed or underemployed American workers, or the 28 million Americans teenagers who will compete for jobs in a few years.

It is my understanding that the same thing has happened in England. What is happening , with making unemployment payments into a benefit is that native-born people become a permanent under-class. There the process began under Lloyd George in the early 1900s. Here in the 1930s.

Even the 'elect' can be deceived.

Paul Ryan hasn’t got a clue what will happen in 10 years.

"Maybe some specialized professions may need workers , when that happens we can allow more people with those skills in."

When that happened in the past, companies used to "train" people. Remember that word, "training"? It gets used so infrequently nowadays that I think most people have forgotten what it means. So I'll use it in a sentence:

"Bob has a degree in electrical engineering, but does not know how to use the proprietary production software that we and only 2 other companies in the world use. So we can either hire a H1-B who pretends to know how to use it, or we can send Bob to a 2 week seminar so he can get training."

HAHA, 10 years. Alert Ryan's suckers

Recall in past Paul Ryan also said we didn't need to change Medicare at all,not a dime, for another 10 years? But they have to pass it asap (2011 was first version) with a 10 year delay,.

Now he says we don't need amnesty for 10 years, but let me guess, he wants to pass it now w 10 year delay.

You see the scam? 10 years!

Tell you what Paul, you run for POTUS in 10 years from now instead of in 2016.

He is right in that there will be a shortage of physicians under Obamacare. But does he propose to replace them with a bunch of illegals with a 6th grade education?

Otherwise he is blowing smoke. Only 62% of people who could be working are working. Doesn’t sound like a shortage to me.

How does importing new progressive voting dependents solve that?

I guess it solves a problem, but not one faced by free American citizens.

We wouldn’t have a labor shortage if we stopped killing 1.3 MILLION unborn babies every year - 55 million in 40 years!

Every consider how many Mozarts, Einsteins, Jonas Salks, etc. there might have been?

Yep, it is happening in the UK now. But there is growing public sentiment to reduce immigration both from the EU as well as outside the EU. The UK has actually reached a political consensus among all parties that immigration should be reduced.--something that has not happened here.

In the UK the white working class is performing worse than immigrants and non-whites academically. They are becoming part of a permanent underclass. This is going to result in social unrest and divisiveness.

This coming year will be a big one in Europe re immigration. Watch the results of elections this Spring as the right of center parties score big victories primarily due to the immigration issue. The Left portrays the immigration reduction advocates as Neo-nazis and extremists, but the lack of jobs and the influences on culture and language are causing more and more people to go to the right. People are angry and fed up.

Oh YES, Mr. Obama, since the country isn't going down the crapper fast enough, let us help you add 11 to 20 MILLION new DemonRAT voters to the rolls. Thank you, sir, may we have another?

How this happened I’ll never understand, but Ryan and the entire GOP leadership have become mortal enemies of America. A young Paul Ryan would have looked upon his present countenance with contempt. Bob

My take—Any Illegal who joins the military—serves and gets an honorable discharge—should be made a Citizen. Any Ilegal who breaks the law—is arrested, should be sent to jail—then deported—if he returns for any reason—he should be hung!

It’s money and the belief that the public doesn’t see the trickery.

In Paul Ryan’s case he is very ambitious and wants to be in the top ring of power. He is thinking that he will not satisfy everyone so he is making decisions on who he can sacrifice and who he must pay respects to. He believes the base can be sacrificed partially, especially the gun toting bible thumping Duck Dynasty types.

He needs to be primaried or alternatively Boehner, Cantor and McCarthy need to be primaried and Ryan needs to be told to get packing.

Ryan will likely be driven out of Congress and he will land at some lobbying firm or PAC. He will hold out hope for an executive appointment if some moderate GOP slides somehow into the White House.

If Wisconsin Governor Walker runs for President, Ryan will find a way to ride his coattails or attempt to be his replacement.

I see Ryan as a fool. He thinks of himself too highly. He is not wise at all. But wisdom is not what he’s after. He’s after the fantasy reflection he sees of himself.

I actually saw this in him back in late 2011 and tried to convince some Freepers here that he was fake. But they were enamored with his pretty face.

And then for me the confirmation of my concerns came when the liberal MSM cozied up to him and elevated him to some sort of GOP star. Whenever we see ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, Washington Post, NY Times etc. get behind a GOP candidate, you know that’s what liberal want to see as their opponent.

Whatever, Ryan is a very cautious politician. I saw him speak in 2011 at a Heritage luncheon. He was careful not to show too much of himself. As Romney’s #2 he had a chance to show Biden for the doofus he is, but he declined to do that. I couldn’t figure out why, since Biden has no “fans”.
