Giffords clings desperately to the same old lie that it's the "gun lobby" driving the situation and not the wishes of the constituents. Colorado state politicians just found out different. Every time it hits the ballot, gun control loses. And that's the real reason Giffords thinks this is "too dangerous to wait" for Congress: it doesn't matter what the voters think either.
Just think how dangerous it will be to try to pry guns out of the hands of constitution loving Americans.
Get it through your heads, anti gun people!!!!
EVERY BAD SHOOTING INCIDENT ALREADY BROKE LAWS!
More gun laws will not stop these.
Focus on changing how we treat the mentally ill.
1. Educate the public to get strange or troubled family members diagnosed.
2. Fight in your state for the ability to commit diagnosed family members who refuse or do not tolerate medication for their mental illness.
3. Spend for PSAs for gun safety information. Bore people to death with safe fun handling and storing commercials on TV so everyone just KNOWS what is decent gun ownership and mock and punish idiot gun ownership.
My three will actually work stop these crazies shooting up schools etc.

Unfortunately for Ms Giffords there is no such thing as gun violence. No one can provide any evidence or proof that any gun ever committed any violence or crime or any physical action at all. It is PEOPLE, human beings that are violent. They use many and varied tools, including guns to be violent with.
A little "gun control" (not the kind they want) is what saved both of them.
Gun control is SUPPOSED to be dangerous. For politicians.
