There are too few real conservatives in government anymore. Mainly because the establishment tends to weed them out, and by nature those who seek power over others tend to be establismentarians. But I think always the choice should be the lessor of two evils, because inaction is often the worst of choices. Thomas Paine called government itself a choice of lesser evils.

The GOP is but the junior partner of the uniparty. We can vote conservative into eternity and it will not reverse the precedents set by Obama.

We must get out of the two-party, voting is everything mindset. National elections have taken on the attributes of mere sporting events, who is on offense/defense, celebrities, who will make next year's player draft, etc. Meanwhile, what is left of our republic suffers.

While I many sit out the midterm election, I doubt I could sit out the presidential election, despite the increasing irrelevancy of elections.

Einstein had a term for expecting different results to emerge from doing the same thing. Restoration of our republic and freedoms cannot emerge from DC.

If we are to restore freedom, our only hope is to reduce focus on national elections and direct more efforts toward our states.

Until an Article V state amendment convention restores federalism and returns far more power to the states, we are doomed to a dictatorship.
