Reality Is Crashing Down On GOP Leaders' Amnesty Plan
Investors Business Daily ^ | 1/27/14 | IBD Editorials

Posted on 01/27/2014 4:07:33 PM PST by jimbo123

Immigration: Anti-amnesty Republicans prepare for an intra-party war, while wiser voices tell House Speaker John Boehner to drop immigration for 2014. Disunity going into this year's elections would be inexcusable.

Thanks to the ObamaCare debacle and the IRS, Benghazi and other scandals, Republicans will almost surely drub the Democrats in this year's midterm elections. They'll hold on to the House of Representatives and maybe even win control of the Senate.

So why spoil it all by fighting a bloody internecine battle on immigration?

"If there's one thing that could blow up GOP chances for a good 2014," warns the Weekly Standard's Bill Kristol, not known as an anti-amnesty firebrand, "it would be an explosive debate over immigration in the House."

Covering much the same ground we covered earlier last week, Kristol writes: "The only sure way to avoid such a debate is not to let anything onto the floor in the first place" because "there really is no need to act this year on immigration" anyway.

Otherwise, the result will be "a circular GOP firing squad, instead of a nicely lined-up one shooting together and in unison at ObamaCare and other horrors of big government liberalism."

Actually, it was WND.com that broke the story about Soros funding McCain.

PhonyCons either ignored the story...or..attack WND for reporting it.

Fact is that George Soros funds John McCain. Soros also has ties w Lindsey Graham and Marco Rubio (Cesar Conda, Rubio’s Chief of Staff, worked for Soros)

Sometimes, between noon and 3 on the west coast, I tune in Michael Medved out of boredom. But I can’t take it when he gives the mike to Lanny Davis or John McCain. So I listened for 30 seconds today. Is Medved the Dem’s rear guard?

Read what this moderate republican says because it is one of the rare times he is spot on!

Kristol writes: "The only sure way to avoid such a debate is not to let anything onto the floor in the first place" because "there really is no need to act this year on immigration" anyway.

Of course we as conservatives want a border fence and effective border control. But why is Kristol right here?

Because ANY legislation coming from the House, even if only a paragraph or a single sentence, will be sent to the Senate where it will be gutted and replaced with the Senate Amnesty version.

THEN it will go to conference committee where the the sellout RINO named Paul Ryan will bring the committee version to the House for a full vote.

Why is a full vote in the House a threat?

Because all it will take to pass is all the dems voting yes and 17 'squish' republican moderates.

So the takeaway here is just what Kristol said:

NO BILL AT ALL, NOTHING UNTIL CONSERVATIVES CONTROL THE HOUSE, THE SENATE AND THE WHITE HOUSE!

Because anything else will tip the voter balance to the dems for a generation.

And the GOP demise will start this year, how?

Millions of illegals granted amnesty THIS YEAR will be 'steered' by 'navigators' to register to vote even though they are not yet citizens. They will lie or play ignorant when asked the question on the voter registration form if they are American citizens. They did not care about American laws when they illegally entered, they won't care again when they register to vote. Voter registration forms do not require proof of citizenship, only requires ID and an affirmation of citizenship.

SO immigration reform of any kind will lead to conservative losses this year!

Of course Bill’s OK with passing amnesty next year after the Gee Oh Pee takes back the senate.

Conda, an immigration lawyer, was Vice President Dick Cheney’s chief domestic policy adviser. After leaving there, Conda went to work on the editorial advisory board of the Soros connected publication, The International Economy Magazine.

Conda was also involved with The National Foundation for American Policy, a Newt Gingrich group.

Cesar Conda is one of the lobbyists on the Citigroup account.

Cesar Conda is a senior fellow at Freedom Works and an editorial advisory board member of International Economy Magazine. He is a volunteer policy advisor to the Mitt Romney presidential campaign.

Immigration does not get done in 2014. The GOP noises are keeping the RATs quiet.
