The new information offers tantalizing clues both to Stockman's whereabouts and purpose as speculation continues to build about his unusual absence in the weeks since launching a quixotic primary challenge to Senator John Cornyn.
Stockman broke his silence on the matter in a text message sent to Breitbart News at 3:26am central time.
“I am on a bipartisan codel. I'm on foreign affairs. Part of my work,” Stockman said, adding that he doesn't know why a Houston Chronicle reporter said “I'm missing” because “we met with the press every day.”
Stockman also said "I am in a meeting now - London."....

If the Houston Chronicle suppressed the ifo..of course it’s not Stockman’s fault.
My question is if there are records of these press conferences. If there are...then the HC is at fault.
Like I said...I’m a huge skeptic of pols. :) And newspapers for that matter.

Politician's stories of secret getaway missions for the good of the country usually turn out to be somewhere between lies and delusions.
He was meeting with Putin on a "bipartisan codel"? WTF is a codel? WTF is bipartisan? Can he name what Democrats back his secret mission?
It's fun to watch Putin rub Obama's nose in his own foreign policy turds, but I wouldn't trust that guy to take my garbage to the curb.
Maybe it happened like Stockman says. Maybe there's some solid American patriotic reasons for him to secretly fly off and meet with one of our shrewdest political enemies. I'm just a bit skeptical.
Perhaps he met a beautiful Coptic Christian woman and is not on the Appalachian Trail.
He looks like Bob Beckel about to enter rehab.........

I guess that’s why Louis Gohmert is endorsing him. It’s also kind of difficult to get a 100% ACU rating as a flake.

Exactly. “Quality” is vital. I don’t care how Conservative someone is. If they can’t do the job, aren’t smart, are a nutbag, etc. I don’t want ‘em.

Stockman himself teased to his own explanation of his absence from Congress
and the campaign trail late Thursday night in a Tweet to his 6,900 followers.
“Where am I? Find out Monday...” Stockman’s @StockmanSenate handle tweeted.
He is the member of Congress that is actually looking into Bozo’s history. He was trying to gather support in Congress as well. Mike Zullo has met and worked on things with him.
I don’t think it is a good sign for the administration that Mr. Stockman went to Russia....
I’ve been supporting this guy.
Cornyn disgusts me with his “we can only do so much and all of it in the interests of Democrats”.
But if our candidate starts wanting to act and sound like Glenn Beck he won’t get a dime from me.
