The result will be nickel and diming away days when teachers would much rather have a solid block of time off. With the loony-bin “Danielson” evaluation criteria just put into place and the Commie Core Crap, you can cut the tension and anxiety in teacher lounges with a knife. Everyone is more worried about the style and vehicle of the lessons than the materials which supposed to be taught. There is no time to research the CONTENT of the lessons, less time to call parents, to work with students-—only to make sure you are teaching “Danielson” style. When you have to worry more about jumping through 22 (yes, 22) checkpoints for your lessons to fulfill the “Danielson” crap than what you are actually teaching, there’s a problem, Houston.
It’s insane.
But it seems to be on auto pilot.
I would first suggest having a deep understanding of “How they think”.
