Did you say the same thing when president Reagan signed full and unconditional amnesty to every illegal present in the country?

Actually, no. I didn’t. Thank you for asking.

I have come a LONG way since then in my views on that subject. I was actually more or less pro-amnesty at the time (influenced back then by the old paper-and-ink National Review, which is STILL pro-amnesty, by the way).

How about you? Where do you stand?

I am 100% against granting legal status to any illegal if it places them ahead of those waiting legally to acquire resident visa from foreign lands. Please read my post above.

If the illegals go at end of the line, then it is the exact same waiting period if they were to self-deport and apply for resident status. I am against tax payer money spent to deport them. Or worse yet, borrow from China to deport them.
