New York Mayor Bill de Blasio gave a heartfelt speech praising Israel at a private gala event hosted by AIPAC at the Hilton hotel in midtown Manhattan Thursday night, the local website Capital New York reported.

The anti-Semite left won’t be pleased with the mayor. I expect he will be told of his “error” in standing with Israel by the appropriate people.
Not sure it’s part of the job description of the mayor of NYC; but hopefully there are some Americans left to realize the importance of Israel.
If true it is interesting that he would part with Obama on this issue.

The mayor of any town should take of his/her city first.

Saying that it is his job to defend Israel is absolutely ridiculous.
Maybe. But since he's one of the elected officials in the country who are furthest to the left, DiBlasio and the anti-Zionist left may just agree to disagree about this. There's too much at stake for them to push him too far.

Wonder if AIPAC will be mesmerized by DeBlasio’s lies as they were by Obama’s lies. I’m betting they will. For some strange reason, it seems only to take a soothing word - false though it may be - or vague promise to garner the great majority of American Jewish votes for the most vile of Israel haters in politics.
