I posted what I posted because I have an inquiring mind. One of the things that interests me is to study public reaction to unusual things that are done by controversial public figures.
Is the public reaction one of outrage, is it mixed, is it surprising, or ignorant, or non-existant, or approving, disapproving, hated, loved, ignored?.....
I like to analyze issues and reactions.....and I'm always particularly interested in public reaction to Sheriff Joe's creative, attention-getting rules and punishments that he applies to his inmate population.
He is indeed a notably-unique person in today's array of the good, the bad and the beautiful public personages.

Overwhelmingly APPROVE.
The voters that matter (Mrs. Liberty and me) think he's doing the right thing here in our county. "Bread and water" may sound like inadequate nutrition for those who think he is serving Wonderbread or some such, but that's not what it is. The jail takes all the leftover food from a day's meals, grinds it into paste and bakes it into bread-like loaves to be served to prisoners who can't be trusted with even plastic forks, hence the expression "bread and water."
The prisoners in question have proven they can't be trusted with plastic serviceware. Holder and Obastard can bitch and complain all they want, but if the lil' darlings are getting nutritionally sound meals there's nothing they can do about it.
